Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
The CDL Training Program offers Class A Truck and Class B Passenger Bus options to help stu- dents expand career and earning opportunities. With year-round classes starting every Monday, students can choose half- or full-day schedules. The program includes theory (32 hours) with classroom instruction, simulator practice, and federally required online training, plus 20–80 hours of fieldwork in pre-trip inspections, shift- ing techniques, defensive driving, and real-world driving environments. Students interested in running their own business can pair CDL train- ing with Luna’s School of Business.
Welding
Our Welding Program prepares students for entry-level jobs and skill upgrades in the con- struction and manufacturing industries. Students gain hands-on training in welding processes, blueprint reading, fabrication, safety, and cut- ting methods, with opportunities to earn AWS certifications. The certificate can count toward an Associate of Applied Science in Vocational/ Technical Studies, and students interested in self-employment are encouraged to pair welding with Luna’s School of Business for entrepreneur- ial skills.
Automotive & Collision Repair
Luna’s Automotive Collision Repair Technology Program prepares students as entry-level techni- cians skilled in auto body repair, metalworking, refinishing, panel replacement, structural repair, and shop management. The program also builds skills in restoration, custom refinishing, and portfolio development. This certificate can be ap- plied toward an Associate of Applied Science in Vocational/Technical Studies and pairs well with Luna’s School of Business for those interested in running or owning a repair shop.
