Submitted by: Nursing Director, Valerie Montoya The Nursing Department along with the Student Nurse Associ - ation assisted Vitalant Blood services with its Fall Blood Drive on Friday August the 29th, at the Media Education Center. With the participation of the 25/26 Student Nurse Cohort, the Blood Drive was a huge success. Heidi Chase from Vitalant was so excited about the turnout and thanked the department and Luna for the contin- ued support as the blood drive did fantastic and did amazing and they will be adding extra staff for the Spring event as thy had such a great turnout that the team had difficulty keeping up with the donors that signed up and the walk is that showed up for the event. They were able to collect 45 units of blood at this event. This sur- passed our previous blood drive number of 35 units. BLOOD DRIVE
