Abstract: What if we explored political Islam without considering it a pathological phenomenon that impedes development in its various aspects and, therefore, continues to be another face of savage capitalism governed by the need for close alliance with the imperialist powers? At the same time, what if we did not agree with statements rejecting political Islamist movements from a foreign perspective? Why do we undermine the civilizational content of the cultural self and its identity discourse in criticising the context of "our Arab modernity" and our subordinate position in it ? What if we transcended the positions of rejection and criticism, and instead represent the particularity of the two approaches to build a third dimension subject to a critical awareness of the political Islamist movements from the perspective of concern for humanity in thought, culture and position? Engaging in this synthetic third dimension, this research raises a number of questions, the most important of which are: • Why did the discourse of Islamist movements decline in the political field in a way that made them unable to make any changes to the field of religiosity in its intellectual, cultural and social dimensions, focusing instead on the values of compliance away from liberation and renewal? • How do Islamist actors keep themselves away from the breeding grounds of tyranny and chaos, and how do they overcome policies that lure them into becoming targeted internally and externally? • How does the exhausted ideological separation of Arab revolutions end in order to bypass the imposition of the liberal system of globalisation on the Islamists in particular and the Arab system in general? • What stakes and conditions do the rising elites need today in their renewed struggle for civil and national political activity to break with the state of self- discourse that exposes its reality that rejects the gains of its era? Keywords: political Islam, Islamists, Arab Spring, identity discourse, state.
