Skylane Optics is glad to announce the next generation 100G product line, mainly intended for access networks, da- tacentre inter-connect and intra-datacentre. In response to market demands, we have introduced the widely adopted QSFP28 form factor, with strict compliance to applicable IEEE standards and various non-IEEE MSA and alliances. In the long-term perspective, the selected technology will enable Skylane Optics® to stay competitive on pricing, have short lead-times and be able to serve the massive volume requested by the biggest European Date Centres and Tier1/ Tier2 telecom operators. Surprisingly… or not; the worldwide top 3 system-manufacturers, as well as the biggest Web 2.0 US companies, made the same technology choice as we did!
