APPENDIX 2: COVID-19 PERSONNEL POLICY

1. T hose employees who are either vulnerable or have a member of their household in the vulnerable category can request paid leave of absence. A doctor’s note is required. 2. Sick days will be extended to cover both prolonged COVID-19 illness and the need to quarantine. 3. Working remotely is an option for those employees (6th-12th) who can do their work from home. 4. Employees are required to notify the school if they either contact or are directly exposed to a case of COVID-19. 5. Any employee who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 10 calendar days from the date the positive test was taken, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine. 6. If faculty/teachers or staff are deemed essential by the school, they may continue to work under quarantine if they have no symptoms, have their symptoms and temperature monitored daily by the school and wear a cloth face covering or mask the entire time they are on the campus. If they become symptomatic, they should not come to the school setting. 7. Any employee who has a family member who has COVID-19 and cannot live separately will be asked to quarantine for 14 calendar days and be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine before returning to school. 8. Any employee who has a family member who has COVID-19 and can make arrangements to live separately for 14 calendar days will be asked to quarantine for 5 calendar days, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days and provide a negative PCR and/or Antigen test (the antibody test will not be accepted.) taken on the 5th day of the quarantine before returning to school. Or they may choose to stay home 14 days. 9. Any employee who experiences any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (listed at the bottom of this document) should follow the Ascend App’s directions. 10. Any employee living with someone who experiences any symptoms of COVID-19, should self-isolate for 5 days OR until that person receives results of a test determining whether or not they are positive. 11. Employees can be required to submit a doctor’s note as proof of illness and proof of recovery. 12. Should an employee or member of an employee’s household travel internationally, the employee will be asked to self-quarantine for 10 days. 13. Leave will be granted to an employee who is caring for his/her child whose school or place of care is closed due to COVID-19 related reasons. 14. If an employee exhibits symptoms during the school day, the employee will be evaluated by the school nurse. The nurse will utilize the Ascend App directions. 15. Employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 do not need to quarantine or get tested again for up to 3 months as long as they do not develop symptoms again. Employees who develop symptoms again within 3 months of their first bout of COVID-19 may need to be tested again if there is no other cause identified for their symptoms.

APPENDIX 3: COVID-19 STUDENT ATTENDANCE POLICY

1. A ny student who presents with COVID-19 symptoms will be sent to Student Services immediately and will be required to go home. 2. Any student or family member who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to notify the school. 3. Any student who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 10 calendar days from the date the positive test was taken, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine. 4. Any student who has been in direct contact/exposed to someone who has COVID-19 will be asked to quarantine for 5 calendar days, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days and provide a negative PCR and/or Antigen test (the antibody test will not be accepted.) taken on the 5th day of the quarantine before returning to school. Or they may choose to stay home 14 days. 5. Any student who has a family member who has COVID-19 and cannot live separately will be asked to quarantine for 14 calendar days and be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine before returning to school. 6. Those students with elevated risk for severe COVID-19 complications can submit a written request to participate in eLearning. A doctor’s note may be required. 10. If a child exhibits symptoms during the school day, the student will be evaluated by the school nurse. The nurse will utilize the Ascend App directions and will notify the student’s parents. 11. Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 do not need to quarantine or get tested again for up to 3 months as long as they do not develop symptoms again. Students who develop symptoms again within 3 months of their first bout of COVID-19 may need to be tested again if there is no other cause identified for their symptoms. 1. C ontact local health officials and follow the guidance provided. 2. The school will identify any individuals who had regular or close contact with the affected participant. 3. Discourage students and staff from social gatherings. 4. Communicate to faculty and parents the presence of a confirmed case of COVID-19. 5. Clean and disinfect thoroughly: a. Close off area used by the individual with COVID-19 b. Open doors and windows of area c. Wait for 24 hrs to clean an area (if needed) d. Clean all surfaces with electrostatic sprayers 6. If someone tests positive, whether teacher, staff, or student, they will not be allowed to return to campus until they complete all protocols. APPENDIX 4: RESPONSE TO CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19
