SPORT AND WASTE
Fútbol Con Corazón is a sport platform for development. Founded in 2007 with the aim of promoting the transformation of communities and making an impact focused on social change - using sport as a teaching tool and development strategy. Sport acts as a playful way to promote skills that they consider necessary for young people and communities in general to be able to face life in a better way and become agents of change in their environment.

2. Sustainable Management
FCC supports ten selected local leaders with seed capital, equipment, and entrepreneurship training to establish a plastic recycling business. After the pitch renovation, they continue to guide these leaders in building sustainable business models, reinforcing a long-term environmental and economic impact.
The project includes 3 components, each related to key themes highlighted by the Move for the Planet syllabus training sessions and illustrating a holistic strategy of community engagement:
3. Education
Through sport-based educational sessions, the organisation promotes climate action and environmental stewardship. Participants gain knowledge about recycling processes as a source of income, fostering both economic independence and environmental responsibility. Additionally, environmental education activities with the participants' families and active members of the community are conducted.
1. Infrastructure
The organisation repurposes plastic waste to restore and upgrade the island’s main football pitch, which is currently in poor condition. The project enhances the grandstand, changing rooms, and community gathering spaces, creating a more sustainable and welcoming environment while engaging with the community throughout the whole process.
