Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Chartered Surveyor (RICS) or equivalent with current corporate membership • Managing a housing portfolio as a building surveyor; building relationships with suppliers and consultants • Understanding of building management with regard to statutory requirements. • Creating specification of works; issuing tenders, negotiating best value with suppliers • Experience of purchasing and selling houses • Working knowledge of legal issues surrounding property and land management and an ability to apply these appropriately • Delivering multiple projects concurrently on time and to budget • Managing and developing a team

• Leading and

managing a property department with annual expenditure of c£1m

• Managing small scale residential

housing - planning and development

• Working in a complex

organisational structure • Experience and understanding of property

management and legal requirements in a charitable context • Experience of using Propman software to manage a property portfolio • A working knowledge of the Church of England and its structures
