CONTINUOUS GROWTH & PROGRESS
Friends, As we close out a record- breaking year of Brangus sales in 2025, we look forward with enthusiasm to launching the 2026 sale season. We extend our sincere gratitude to every customer whose continued support made the past year possible. I do want to give special thanks to all of our ranch staff for stepping up and making all of this happen. Our dedication to delivering elite genetics for both purebred and commercial producers remains unwavering—
designed for this sale time frame. Most of the bulls in sale were later Fall born not ready for November sale. Exciting group in this Fall bull offering! We have an excellent set of cutting edge Spring born bulls. Among the highlights are the first sons of promising young sires destined for greatness—True Balance, Ledger, Dialed In, Stock Fund, Never Before, Silencer, Admiral—and established proven performers including Ace of Spades, Freightliner, Longmire, Express, Deadwood, Masterpiece, and others. We are also excited to debut a dedicated commercial female segment, featuring approximately 300 bred heifers. This includes nearly 200 heavy-bred Brangus heifers, complemented by uniform groups of 25–30 head each in Black Super Baldy, F1
supported by extensive, real- world performance data. This information is presented in the catalog’s summary pages and backed by years of documented results from our commercial steer programs. We let our results speak for themselves, consistently delivering stronger, more refined offerings each year through action rather than promotion. Our cattle continue to excel in feedlots and across commercial operations, producing high-performing animals designed with practical profitability in mind—and this spring’s lineup upholds that standard. This offering features numerous standout bulls that rank among the breed’s best in key traits: calving ease, growth, carcass merit, and fertility—all presented in an attractive, functional package. Many exhibit exceptional spread between birth weight and yearling weight, demonstrating true curve-bending potential. Our focus remains on balanced, uniform genetics rather than single-trait extremes, with each year’s group raising the bar higher. This spring is no different. We have approximately 158 bulls with a little more than half of the bulls Fall born and now coming twos. Within the Fall bulls we have an extra long age yearling category with November-December
Tigerstripe, and Black F1 categories. These heifers are heavy bred spring calvers sired by low-birth-weight Cavender Brangus and Ultra Black bulls, sorted for consistency. Additionally, we offer an appealing set of 60 open Brangus and Brangus Super Baldy heifers ready for immediate breeding. The females will sell promptly following the bull sale, with many groups available in smaller lots of three head—creating accessible options for buyers seeking fewer than five animals. The bull sale begins at 11:00 AM, with the female offering to follow immediately upon its conclusion around 1:00 PM, allowing everyone to head home without delay. We warmly invite both longtime supporters and new friends to join us for this year’s 6th Annual Spring Bull and Commercial Female Sale. Should you require any assistance in advance, please reach out to our sales team: Mark Cowan, Dustin Kennedy, Joe Fuller, Todd Harvey, Garrett Thomas, or myself. We also look forward to hosting you for dinner and fellowship on Friday evening.
Sincerely,
Joe Cavender, Cavender Brangus

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2025 – WE LOOK FORWARD TO 2026
Welcome to Cavender Ranches for our annual Spring Bull Sale. THANK YOU to all of our customers and friends for your support in a historic 2025. Your confidence in our program and where we are going was gratifying! We are pushing the performance envelope while raising practical, real- world cattle to fit your needs and your program. Our goal remains to produce beef bulls in volume that bend the curve from birth to yearling,
We are selling 75 cutting edge yearling herd sire prospects and range bulls. We think they are the best set of yearlings ever offered in our Spring Sale. Our young herd sire battery is well represented in this group of bulls. We are selling the first True Balance, Never Before, Stock Fund, Dialed In and Admiral sons as well as sons by Ledger, Ace and Express who were so well accepted last Fall. We are determined to produce light birth and big growth, curve bending prospects in volume. You will find 74 Calving Ease bulls in our offering, most of them are also big growth. And yes, you will have their EPDs for CED, BW and an Actual birthweight to aid your selection decisions. You will see 134 big growth bulls ranking in the top 35% of the Brangus breed for both WW and YW. They are bulls labeled that way in their Headers and many are also Calving Ease. There are also 64 herd sire prospects who write a REA and IMF EPD both above the breed’s top 35% for both traits, many of them are also Light Birthweight and Big Growth. Fertility is also a trait we have concentrated heavily on. You will find 126 or 79% of the bulls cataloged, rank in the breed’s top 35% or greater for Fertility Index. Now a little about the commercial females for this sale. We will have 300 bred heifers including F1 Black, Tiger-Stripe, Super Baldie and Brangus. All will be 7 months bred at sale time and in perfect calving condition. You will also love the 50 open heifers in the sale they will be a sampling of all mentioned and we think you will appreciate their quality. As always if any of us at Cavender Ranches can make your visit here more comfortable or assist in any way please give me, Todd, Dustin, Aubrey or Joe a call. We will do our best to accommodate and we look forward to seeing you March 13th for looking and for our Customer Appreciation Dinner and the 14th for the Bull Sale and the Commercial Females Sale. are capable of siring steers that excel in the feedlot and hang the kind of beef carcasses that enable the industry to compete for center of the plate demand from consumers. Our commercial herd and our commercial focus helps us to stay real. You will find a summary of our real-world carcass data in the back of this catalog. We do have the data and we want to share it. It is all the data we have collected. It is across all breed types from F1 Tigers to Brangus. We think it is pretty impressive. We are excited about our sixth annual Spring Bull Sale. In part because we have added 350 commercial females to accompany these bulls. But our excitement mainly centers on the quality of the bulls we are offering this spring. We have 84 Fall Born bulls in this sale. They are big and stout and ready to work. They are led by Paramount Plus 541M13; he was slated to be sold as a yearling last fall but was injured and limping at the time of the sale. He is well and sound and has developed into an impressive specimen. We think you will particularly appreciate
the November/December fall born bulls. They were too young to sell in November and there are some pretty special Deadwood and Masterpiece sons to lead that group off and they too are big enough and stout enough to take home and put to work.

GENERAL INFORMATION
CATTLE LOAD OUT Cattle will be available for load out immediately after the sale and proper settlement has been made on purchases. If you wish to loadout at a later date please note that when you check-out. Arrangements can then be made to have your cattle ready when you arrive. SAVE ON SHIPPING AND HANDLING You can save shipping and handling charges by picking up semen that you will need for your fall or spring breeding season at the Cavender Ranches Sale at Cavender’s Neches River Ranch. Representatives from either Cavender Ranches or Integrated Breeders will be available to fill your orders. We would ask that you keep your orders to goblet increments of 5’s or 10’s so that we can avoid excessive handling of semen. Please contact Mark Cowan at 903-495-4522 or Todd Harvey at 386- 288-8059 to place your order prior to the sale to assure we have enough semen on hand and available on sale day. SALE ORDER The cattle will sell in sale order. We will have a printed sale order prior to the sale. Please note that commercial females will not be going through the ring and will be presented on video. GENETIC CONDITION POLICY Any animals that are confirmed as carriers of a genetic condition such as DD, developmental duplication, will be listed above their pedigrees as DDC. Any animals we are still waiting test results on will be listed DDPC. All other animals have been either confirmed free of known genetic conditions by test results or from pedigree analysis.
TRUSTED PERFORMANCE INFORMATION We are extremely dedicated to providing our customers the genetics needed to help positively impact their bottom line. We will not compromise the integrity of our data. Our utmost goal is to provide the information that will successfully identify the genetics most needed in your particular operation. The information provided by the IBBA was provided at weaning and yearling by the breeder for computation. We believe in EPD’s, but fully realize that they are only as good as the information provided to the association. Inaccurate weights and faulty contemporary groups lead to poor information and bad selection decisions. Please realize that these cattle were in different contemporary groupings at weaning; therefore, it is not fair to compare birth, weaning and yearling weights from one herd to another. A wide range of environments are represented in this offering and thus have affected those weights, plus different management comes into play, i.e. creep fed vs. not creep fed. Within herd weights and ratios were good when that was the only information we had. However, EPD’s are a much better indicator of genetic potential and are the only way across herd comparisons can be made. Also, we have listed the current non-parent Brangus breed average EPD’s in the catalog for your reference and comparison on how individual lots compare to the average of the breed in any trait. ULTRABLACK The Ultrablack program has been a major success for us and an in-demand product for our commercial customers.
MAINTENANCE AFTER THE SALE
Cavender’s Neches River Ranch will work with customers on delivery of cattle in an effort to have the cattle delivered to customers as soon as possible after the sale. However, if you are not ready for the cattle at this time we will maintain the cattle at the ranch for a period of time until you are ready for them. A nominal fee of $3.50 per day will be charged plus any veterinarian charges incurred will be billed. Cattle will be maintained on a growing ration in grass traps. Cattle become the buyer’s responsibility immediately after the sale. Cavender Ranches is not responsible for insurance costs or death. TRUCKING At the conclusion of the sale or as soon as possible following the sale if purchases are made via video or sight unseen agreement; please notify the sales staff as to specific instructions about cattle delivery. If you request our assistance the Cavender Ranches staff will make every effort to help coordinate the most reliable and economical trucking available. If you prefer to make your own arrangements Mike Cox Trucking will be available sale day to discuss your needs or we can place you in contact with other reliable truckers. Please note that the animals you purchase become your responsibility at time of purchase. Cavender Ranches nor any of the breeders involved in this sale take responsibility for animals that may be injured in transport. Insurance is available for those who would desire that coverage.

GENOMICALLY ENHANCED EPD’s
EPDs Expected Progeny Difference (EPDs) is the best estimate of an animal’s genetic merit for a particular trait. It takes into account the animals’ own performance compared with its contemporaries and the performance of its relatives compared against their contemporaries. Birth Weight (BW) EPD predicts calf size and calving ease. Weaning Weight (WW) EPD predicts preweaning growth potential. Yearling Weight (YW) EPD predicts overall growth potential. Milk EPD predicts the maternal contribution to weaning weight of the calf through milk production, behavior, immunity and other maternal environmental factors. Total Maternal (TM) also, called M&G EPD predicts weaning weight of calves from a bull’s daughters. Scrotal Circumference (SC) EPD predicts not only testicular size of male progeny but also daughters onset of puberty. Terminal Index (TERM) combines birth weight, weaning weight, milk production, post wean gain, ribeye area, marbling, and back fat EPDs into a single number. The index is expressed as s standard deviation from the breed average, meaning that bulls with a +2 index are two standard deviations above
the average. Higher numbers are superior to low numbers. Fertility Index (FERT) combines heifer pregnancy, stayability, days to first calving, mature cow weight, and back fat EPDs into a single number. The index is expressed as s standard deviation from the breed average, meaning that bulls with a +2 index are two standard deviations above the average. Higher numbers are superior to low numbers. ULTRASOUND EPDs Ribeye Area (REA) EPD predicts total muscle. Intramuscular Fat (IMF) EPD predicts % of intramuscular fat which is highly correlated to marbling. *REA and FT are primary components of USDA YG and marbling is the primary component of USDA QG. PERFORMANCE Individual performance data is provided as supplementary information as EPDs provide more reliable evaluation of genetic differences of animals. Actual Birth Weight (BW) are reported. Weaning Weight (WW) are adjusted to 205 days. Yearling Weight (YW) are adjusted to 365 days. Scrotal Circumference (SC) is adjusted to 365 days.
Average Daily Gain (ADG) is a measure of growth rate on a high energy diet. It is positively associated with feed efficiency. Ribeye Areas (REA) are adjusted to 365 days and ratioed relative to contemporaries. Intramuscular Fat (IMF) are adjusted to 365 days and ratioed relative to contemporaries. IMF is highly correlated to marbling. Brangus EPDs are calculated by the Livestock Genetic Services and are part of a program called the National Cattle Evaluation (NCE). EPD PERCENTILE RANKINGS Individual ranking relative to the entire breed population on a specific trait, represented in the form of a percentage, with 1% being best and 99% being worst. DISPOSITION SCORING In the bull portion of this catalog we have included a disposition score for every Brangus & Ultrablack bull selling. 5 stars being the best and 1 being the worst.
