The first time we have ever sold Commercial Females with our Spring Bull Sale
SATURDAY | MARCH 14 | APPROXIMATELY 1:00 PM
Many of the females selling are mates to the steers harvested in 2025 that graded 80% Choice and Prime with a yield grade of 2.9 and did 24.6% CAB or better. We think that is impressive and a testament to the quality present in this offering of commercial females and to our relentless pursuit of excellence in both our registered and our commercial beef production. We continue to utilize all tools available to give our customers the edge when it comes to beef production. You will note that a big portion of these females are selling AI’d to some of the top calving ease, big performing bulls the Brangus breed has to offer. Bulls that are proven in the pasture and on the rail. They will be calving in a narrow window and the resulting offspring will
perform. The sires utilized all have genomically enhanced EPDs and generations of data behind them. This is just another way to provide you with the advantage. We are proud of the commercial females in this offering and feel they will be a long-lasting asset, generating increased productivity for their new owners. While we are intent on providing the new owners with truly superior calves at side resulting from our matings, we encourage you to castrate the male calves because, while superior to industry norms, they do not have the generations of registered data behind them necessary to move our industry forward and to compete with other protein sources for today’s consumer dollar.
HOW THEY WILL SELL
The cattle will be sorted into pens based on breed type, quality and pregnancy status. We will video the cattle in their sale pens and will show that video as each pen of cattle is being sold. This is a change from our normal custom as we wanted to provide all our buyers with videos of each pen as they are selling. The cattle will not be run through the ring but can be viewed at the sale site prior to the sale in their pen. We will produce a sale order for all the cattle selling by pen. As each pen comes up for sale we will sell the pen and
the winning bidder will have, at the discretion of the sale personnel and auctioneer, the right to purchase the next pen of cattle and each succeeding pen of cattle of the same breed type, quality and pregnancy status until all of that group is sold. If the purchaser does not take the option to buy the next pen of cattle, they will be sold and, at our discretion, that buyer will be given an option until that group is sold and we proceed onto the next group of females.
