To continue to meet customer demand and expand production of specialized products including small roll labels, DLS has installed new equipment in its Reno, Nevada; Duluth, Georgia; Arlington, Texas; and Itasca, Illinois, facilities. DLS’ Reno facility has completed the installation Acucote Launches BioPreferred Product Line Acucote has introduced a line of 25 USDA Certi- fied Biobased products. Materials include coated, uncoated, fluorescents, tag and digital print media. BioPreferred Certification is awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Through this program, the USDA validates the biobased content of products through third-party testing to the ASTM D6866 standard. This third-party testing determines whether or not a commercial or industrial product is composed of biological elements. DLS Adds Five New Flexo Presses
of a 17-inch 2200, 2-color flexographic press, as well as ABG’s Vectra AutoSet Model SGTR1700-4 glueless turret rewinder. A Martin Automatic roll slicer completes the line-up. The Duluth, Georgia, facility has added an LP300 8-color, 17-inch press, while the location in Arling- ton has installed a 4150, 1-color, 21.5-inch press and die cutter. In DLS’s Itasca, Illinois facility, two new press lines have been installed including a 2200XL, 4-color 17-inch press and 2200XL, 2-color 17-inch press. Both press lines have Martin Automatic roll splicers and ABG turrets. Valmet To Supply Equipment For Lamipak In China Packaging technology company Valmet has se- cured a contract to a supply quality control system for China-based Lamipak (Kunshan)’s flexographic printing machine. The contract involves the supply of Valmet IQ quality control system, which is de- signed to solve board cracking issues. Valmet will deliver Valmet IQ Converting Scanner featuring single-sided IR Moisture measurement, IQ Multipoint Moisture measurement system and IQ Moisturizer water-spray system.
