Eastside Rehab. Preventative Rehabilitation

A NOTE ABOUT COVID-19: WE’RE STILL OPEN! In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we as medical professionals are diligently trying to serve our patients in the best ways possible without risking the spread of this disease. Because of this, we are staying open and continuing to see patients while also complying with the recommended social distancing and sanitization guidelines. Following state requirements, we are also requiring all patients to wear face coverings while visiting the clinic. In addition, we are also offering telehealth services to those who are at higher risk and those who wish to stay at home. During this time, we also want to remind patients that you do not need a prescription to receive physical therapy treatments, so there’s no need to visit a doctor’s office for a referral. WHAT IS TELEHEALTH? Telehealth services can be accessed via your smartphone or computer, where you will be able to perform your PT treatments from the comfort of your own home. You can also use your PT app to access prescribed exercises, track your progress, and even live- chat with your physical therapist– all without coming to our clinic! If you wish to schedule your in-person appointment or telehealth consultation, call your physical therapist today at 425.576.8180 or visit our website at eastsidesportsrehab.com .

SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: CUSTOM ORTHOTICS

BENEFITS OF CUSTOM ORTHOTICS:

• Enhance Performance • Improve Strength • Provide More Stamina

• Reduce Pain • Reduce Pressure • Promote Stability

Custom orthotics are devices that are individually created to uniquely fit your feet. They resemble insoles but are specifically crafted and made of materials that will last longer than prefabricated orthotics. They are sometimes referred to as prescription glasses for each of your feet. There are generally three types of custom orthotics. • Therapeutic. If the shape of your feet is irregular, these types of orthotics can assist heel support, forward movement, and general stability. • Accommodative. These are created to help you relieve the stress on joints that is often caused by conditions such as arthritis. • Functional. These will help your feet to move in a more desirable way or bear weight in a way that will help you move and walk better. Although custom orthotics are more expensive than off-the-shelf devices, they last much longer and provide more support or correction. Orthotic inserts will improve how your feet and lower legs feel and function. Quality orthotics can alleviate pressure, eliminate pain, and promote stability. It’s important to receive custom orthotics that are created to fit the exact shape of your foot in order to receive the maximum benefits.
