If you have not done so already, make a point to introduce yourself to our new Executive Chef, Richard Brown. We are excited to have him at the Club and are looking forward to some great changes to our menu offerings soon. Friday Night Live will continue through the month of November; please refer to the schedule to see who is playing. With the new Grille opening soon, Membership is booming! If you know of any friends that would like to consider becoming a member, please give Renei Velez, our Membership Director a call at 661-664-6038. We are taking applications for our upcoming Board Elections. Per our By-laws, applications need to be submitted by November 30th. If you are interested, call Eryn Urban at 661-664-6418. If you have any questions, concerns or things that you would like to see at the Club, please let me know. I look forward to seeing you around the Club!

On behalf of all the players, volunteers, SCGA, NCGA, and CGA, I want to thank your phenomenal team for all their support in helping us deliver a tournament experience worthy of a state championship!! Seven Oaks CC served as a great host site for the 46th California Senior Women’s Amateur Championship, and the level of care that was provided throughout the week truly made it special for all those involved. Please extend our utmost
gratitude to your staff for their attentiveness and professionalism, to your board for giving us the nod and your members for welcoming us this week. Collectively, you all were actively engaged in showcasing the property with pride and we appreciate the hospitality! I loved that your crew came together for a group photo! Tell everyone, this is what good looks like!! It would be a privilege to work with you all again in the future. Until we meet again, take great care!

The Seven Oaks Book Club meets each month to discuss books on a reading list which is created by mutual consent of the Book Club members. All members of SOCC are invited to attend. Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 20th at 11:30am The Seven Oaks Book Club
Our selection for November ... It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years - she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself. Meanwhile, the bride has accounted for every detail and every possible disaster the weekend might yield except for, well, Phoebe and Phoebe's plan - which makes it that much more surprising when the two women can’t stop confiding in each other. In turns absurdly funny and devastatingly tender, Alison Espach’s The Wedding People is ultimately an incredibly nuanced and resonant look at the winding paths we can take to places we never imagined - and the chance encounters it sometimes takes to reroute us.
