The P60 deadline falls in May and this issue will talk about how payroll processes are deadline-driven and how it impacts teams when new and adhoc rules come into effect, e.g. changes to primary threshold mid-tax-year and introduction of coronavirus job retention scheme. We will also look at the need to keep an eye on future developments such as government consultations, look at fixed deadlines and the fluctuation between different organisations, and the impact when wider business areas don’t adhere to payroll deadlines. Well-being week falls in June and we will look at financial well-being and how payroll is well placed to support employees in this area. Sam O’Sullivan will steer a technical panel meeting to discuss the role payroll has in regard to financial well-being, and we will also investigate how AI and technology can free up time to focus on incentives within our payroll teams. We will also highlight statistics from our Future of Payroll Report .
