The Dinokeng Game Reserve has a well-vetted list of 380 bird species making it a birder’s paradise.
More than 140kms of winding tracks (most of which is suitable to sedan vehicles). Permits to use the route can be purchased at the gates of the Reserve or online. A new handy detailed map guide can be purchased with your permit. It has a very detailed map and places to stop for comfort breaks, meals or picnics. It is full of interesting animal, bird and plant information, and can keep the young ones interested. Various restaurants along the route are also a must to visit.
