HIGHLIGHTS 2024 - 2025 • Team of 43 fully enlisted members
• Logged 5,676 hours patrolling the self-drive route
• 3,714 permits checked
• 10 snare removal projects, extracting 134 active snares with the participation of 36 dedicated members
materials, and an exhilarating scavenger hunt. Their laughter and energy throughout the day reminded us of the importance of nurturing a love for the natural world in the next generation. I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to KRF Foundation, our sponsors, Mongena Lodge for their generous support,our Park rangers and our devoted 14 Voluntary Rangers whose hard work made this day so special. This children’s day was our first attempt at such a project, but it will not be the last. We aim to host at least three similar events throughout the year. To my fellow Voluntary rangers and partners, I am filled with pride as we build a strong partnership with the Dinokeng Game Reserve and our community. Like the children reminded us through song, “We are the world,” so let us embrace this responsibility to care for it—for the sake of our children and the future.

• Organized and participated in 46 visits to community centres in Hammanskraal • 30 awareness projects within the reserve • Hosted a Birding course led by expert Rinze Woude, which drew an enthusiastic response
