DGR AND REACH FOR LIFE COMMUNITY TRAINING

Dinokeng Game Reserve, in collaboration with Reach for Life, recently partnered with the Hammanskraal community to introduce a transformative initiative aimed at empowering local youth. This joint effort began with an intensive training session for ten community members, equipping them to become Reach for Life leaders. These leaders will now go into the community, educating and mentoring young people on crucial life topics. A Guiding Light for the Youth Reach for Life is an international program based on the New International Reader’s Version (Biblica). More than just a Bible, it addresses the everyday challenges young people face, providing them
with guidance, hope, and resilience - spiritually, mentally, and physically. Through engaging social topics, it helps youth navigate peer pressure, difficult decisions, and personal struggles, giving them the tools to build a brighter future. The initiative was led by the dedicated teams from Reach for Life and Biblica, ensuring that the program is well-rooted within the community. The newly trained leaders are now ready to spread knowledge and encouragement, fostering a generation of informed and confident young individuals. Through this collaboration, Dinokeng Game Reserve and Reach for Life are making a lasting impact—one leader, one lesson, and one life at a time.

Given their close proximity to Dinokeng, they were shown how conservation work could become a part of their future, providing both educational and employment opportunities within the reserve. Kwalata Game Lodge and Dinokeng Game Reserve recently welcomed students from Tshwane South College for an insightful career presentation on nature conservation. The session aimed to introduce students to the many opportunities available within Dinokeng, offering a behind- the-scenes look at how the reserve operates and was established. The key objective of this initiative was to shift students’ perceptions, encouraging them to see nature conservation as a viable and
with guidance, hope, and resilience - spiritually, mentally, and physically. Through engaging social topics, it helps youth navigate peer pressure, difficult decisions, and personal struggles, giving them the tools to build a brighter future. Through interactive discussions and expert insights, students gained a deeper understanding of the daily operations of a game reserve. They explored various career possibilities within conservation, from wildlife management to eco-tourism, and how their studies could align with these fields.
