Year Four School Pride

Recycling

Flash Trash

This year we have been recycling our soft plastics in the classroom. We learnt that if your plastic is easy to scrunch then we can recycle it. We have been taking the wrappers over to Coles and recycling them at the RedCycle drop off point. They have been turning all of our wrappers into things like playgrounds, roads and bench seating. We recycle all of our paper and bottles each fortnight too. We are trying to make our school a better place and our world a better place by reducing landfill. Daniel and Lucas

In the past, some people would throw their rubbish on the ground. Now we put the music on at the end of recess and lunchtime and pick up rubbish. This is flash trash time! I think we have decreased the amount of rubbish by 90%. All the kids must be proud of what they have done to make the yard cleaner. People who put effort into cleaning the yard are rewarded with dojo points. This has become our routine for recess and lunchtime. Great job to everyone involved. Shruthi
