Year Five STEM Project
At the start of Term 4, we got the chance to do a STEM program with our student teacher Anne. We learned about Urban farming, Aquaponics and much more. I was in a group with my friends, Selina and Ryan. Overall, I found the project really interesting, and it was fun to use different programs to create something that would help the fish survive in their tank. We made a robot arm to clean out all the fish waste from the pumps. Tijana During our STEM program, we got to explore micro:bit which is a coding app. micro:bit helps you code things like robots, lights and machines. This helped us complete our projects. My group designed a light sensor, to provide automatic lighting for the fish and plants. We were able to do all the coding for the sensor using micro:bit. Ethan
