The Durst Hawk Eye includes a scanner system, work- station, and touch screen monitor. It corrects print mis- takes, such as missing nozzles, inline and in real time. Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems are in place to de- tect and localize any problems without speed reduction. Neighboring nozzles help compensate with larger drops to ensure print quality. Operators do not need to complete any set-up and there is no need to print a special test pattern. “The Durst Hawk Eye is a game-changer for the digital printing industry,” said Martin Leitner, Product Manager of Durst Group. “This technology will greatly increase productivity and efficiency, but, more importantly, it will reduce waste and the carbon footprint of our customers.” Other announcements by Durst include important ink developments.
