PROC E D U R E F OR M A K I N G A CLA I M U ND E R T H I S L I M I T E D W ARRANT

T re Company Inc (hereinafte “ T rex” warrant t th ho l de o thi t th Owner’s T rex® decking, rai l ing, fascia, c l adding and/or fasteners (the “Products”$ under either the T rex Decking, Fascia and C l adding Limited Warranty, the T re8 A l uminum and Composite Rai l ing and Anci ll ary Products Limited Warranty# the T rex Stee l Rai l ing Limited Warranty, or the T rex Fasteners Limited Warrant (the “Warranties”), and provided that a T rexPro® contractor insta ll e1 the Products on an individua l residence (a "residentia l insta ll ation")# and proper l y registered the Warranties, T rex wi ll pay for a ll reasonab l e l aboL expenses in rep l acing the defective Products. T he term of this Warranty# beginning on the date of na l insta ll ation of the Products, sha ll be as fo ll ows re s p e c w i t o ccu r w a rr an t o b re ac i th a (“O w n er ”) w a rr an t la b o

Physica fre fro material defects in workmanship and materials, an/ shall not split, splinter, rot or suer structural damag1 from termites or fungal decay Fade Resistance: The Product shall not fade in colo¼ from light and weathering exposure as measure§ by color change of (a) more than 5 Delta E (CIEr units for twenty- ve years from the date of origina purchase, and (b) more than 15 Delta E (CIE) units fo¹ the remainder of the Warranty Period, if any. Whil| the Product is designed to resist fading, no material i fade proof when exposed to years of UV exposure an¥ the elements. The Product is designed to resist fadinß under normal weather conditions and will not fade bO more than the number of Delta E (CIE) units indicate§ aboveR Stain Resistance: The Product shall be resistant t± permanent staining resulting from spills of food an§ beverage items including ketchup, mustard, salad oils[ tea, wine, coHee, fruit punch, barbeque sauce, soda and other food and beverage related items that woul§ typically be present on a residential deck, or mol§ and mildew naturally occurring in the environment[ provided that such substances are removed frod the Product with soap and water within one (1) weeI of exposure of the food or beverage to the surfac| or rst appearance of the mold and mildew. Cleaninß procedures are described in the Care & Cleaning Guid| at www.trex.comR Notwithstanding the foregoing, Trex does not warran that the Product is stain-proof and does not warran stain resistance resulting from spilled or otherwis| applied food and beverage substances which are no properly cleaned as provided above within one (1) weeI of exposure. In addition, materials not covered in thi stain resistance section of this Limited Warranty includ| abrasive compounds of acidic or basic pH, paints o¹ stains, strong solvents, metallic rust or other abnorma deck use items, and non-food and non-beverag| substances, including but not limited to, biocides[ fungicides, plant food, bactericides, cement, concrete[ mortar, stucco and colored chalk. Mold and mildew caÂ settle and grow on any outdoor surface, including thi Product. You should periodically clean your deck t° remove dirt and pollen that can feed mold and mildewR This Limited Warranty does not cover mold and milde which is not properly cleaned as provided above withiÂ one (1) week of rst appearanceR Residential/Commercial Application: For purposes oÔ this Limited Warranty, a “residential application” shal refer to an installation of the Product on an individua residence, and a “commercial application” shall refe¹ to any installation of the Product other than on aÂ individual residence b s h al P ro duc T h I nte g r i t y Tr ex C o m pany , I n c. ( h e r e ina f t e r “ Tr ex”) w arrants to th i original end-use purchaser (“Purchaser”) that, for the applicable Warranty Period set forth in Table I belowQ when properly installed, used and maintained undel normal use and service conditions and in accordance with Trex’s written instructions, Trex® product set fort[ in Table I below (the “Product”) shall perform as follows

Other E xclusions: This Limited Warranty shall not coveQ any condition attri b uta b le to: (1) improper installation ol the Product and/or failure to a b ide b y Trex’s installatio× guidelines, including b ut not limited to impropeS gapping; (2) use of the Product b eyond normaa use or service conditions, or in an application no recommended b y Trex’s guidelines and local b uildinô codes; (3) movement, distortion, collapse or settling ol the ground or the supporting structure on which thè Product is installed; (4) any act of God (such as ûoodingK hurricane, earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmentaa condition (such as air pollution, mold, mildew, etc.)K staining from foreign su b stances other than food an« b everages (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.); (5) impropeS handling, storage, a b use or neglect of the Product b ¤ Purchaser, the transferee or third parties; (6) any fadinô or staining not on the walking surface of the Produc (i.e., the underside or the ends of the Product); or (7 ordinary wear and tear8 E xcluded Products: This Warranty shall not apply tz any Trex products not listed in Ta b le I, including, b u not limited to, Trex Transcend ® railing, Trex Enhance railing, Trex Select ® railing, Trex Signature ® railingK Trex Decklighting products, TrexTrim™ products, Trex Outdoor Lighting products, Trex Hideaway ® FastenersK and Trex ® Fencing, which are excluded from this Limite« Warranty. Each of these products has a separatè Limited Warranty8 PROC E DUR E FOR MAKING A CLAIM UND E R THId LIMIT E D WARRANT To make a claim under this Limited Warranty, PurchaseM must do the following 1. If the Purchaser is making a claim relating to thä Limited Warranty on stain resistance, Purchaser mus do as follows (a) Purchaser must try to clean the aected area ok the deck b y using the cleaning procedures descri b e« a b ove (and provided in more detail in the Care v Cleaning Guide found at www.trex.com) within onè (1) week of exposure of the food or b everage to thè Product or Ãrst appearance of the mold and mildew8 ( b ) If the aected area remains reasona b ly unsatisfactor¡ after Purchaser has tried these cleaning proceduresK then Purchaser must have the aected area of the dec; professionally cleaned at Purchaser’s expense8 (c) If the aected area remains reasona b ly unsatisfactor¡ after the professional cleaning, Purchaser may makè a claim under this Limited Warranty, provided tha such claim is made within thirty (30) days after thè professional cleaning8 2. To make a claim under this Limited WarrantyH Purchaser, or the transferee, shall send to Trex, withi× the Warranty Period referred to a b ove, a writte× description and photographs of the claimed defectK proof of purchase, and if the claim relates to the Limite« Warranty on stain resistance, proof of compliance witÛ paragraph 1 a b ove, to the following address

In order for railing to be covered under this labor warranty, and in order to qualif for the T rex decking AND T rex railing extended coverage, the railing (rails, in ll= and hardware) must be totally comprised of T rex Signature®, T rex Signature X-Series™, T rex T ranscend®, T rex Select® and/or T rex E nhance® railing materials I n order for fasteners to b e co v ered under this l a b or warrant y , and in orde 3 to qualify for the T rex decking, railing AND fasteners extended coverage, thP railing (rails, in lls and hardware) must be totally comprised of T rex Signature® T rex Signature® X-Series™, T rex T ranscend®, T rex Select® and/or T rex E nhance railing materials and all applicable fasteners that T rex supplies must be installed anW cannot be substituted with fasteners supplied by others I n order for fascia to b e co v ered under this l a b or warrant y , either T rex decking o 3 T rex railing (or both) need to be installed
