P hysical free from materia l defects in workmanship and materia l s, and sha ll not sp l it, sp l inter, rot or suffer structura l damage from termites or funga l decay. Fade Resistance: T he P roduct shall not fade in colo r from li g ht and w eatherin g e xp osure as measure d b y color chan g e of ( a ) more than 5 D elta E (CIE) units for t w enty -fi ve years from the date of ori g inal p urchase , and (b) more than 15 D elta E (CIE) units fo r the remainder of the W arranty Period , if any. W hil e the Product is desi g ned to resist fadin g, no material i s fade proof when exposed to years of UV exposure and the elements. T he Product is desi g ned to resist fadin g under normal w eather conditions and w ill not fade by more than the num b er of D elta E (CIE) units indicate d a b ove . Stain Resistance: The Product shall be resistant to p ermanent stainin g resultin g from s p ills of food an d b evera g e items includin g k etchu p, mustard , salad oils , tea , w ine , co ff ee , fruit p unch , b ar b e q ue sauce , soda s and other food and b evera g e related items that w oul d ty p ically b e p resent on a residential dec k, or mol d and milde w naturally occurrin g in the environment , p rovided that such su b stances are removed fro m the Product w ith soa p and w ater w ithin one (1) w ee k of e xp osure of the food or b evera g e to the surfac e or fi rst a pp earance of the mold and milde w . C leanin g p rocedures are descri b ed in the C are & C leanin g G uid e at www .tre x .com . Notwithstanding the foregoing, Trex does not warrant that the Product is stain -p roof and does not w arran t stain resistance resultin g from s p illed or other w is e a pp lied food and b evera g e su b stances w hich are no t p ro p erly cleaned as p rovided a b ove w ithin one (1) w ee k of e xp osure. I n addition , materials not covered in thi s stain resistance section of this L imited W arranty includ e a b rasive com p ounds of acidic or b asic pH, p aints o r stains , stron g solvents , metallic rust or other a b normal dec k use items , and non - food and non -b evera ge su b stances , includin g b ut not limited to , b iocides , fun g icides , p lant food , b actericides , cement , concrete , mortar , stucco and colored chal k . M old and milde w ca n settle and g ro w on any outdoor surface , includin g thi s Product. Y ou should p eriodically clean your dec k t o remove dirt and p ollen that can feed mold and milde w. This Limited Warranty does not cover mold and mildew w hich is not p ro p erly cleaned as p rovided a b ove w ithi n one (1) w ee k of fi rst a pp earance . Residential/Commercial Application: For purposes of this L imited W arranty , a ˝ residential a pp lication ˛ shall refer to an installation of the Product on an individual residence , and a ˝ commercial a pp lication ˛ shall refe r to any installation of the Product other than on a n individual residence. be sha ll P ro d uct T he I nte g r i t y: Tr ex C o m pan y, I n c. ( h e r e ina f t e r ˝ Tr ex˛) w arrants to th e original end-use purchaser (˝Purchaser˛) that, for the applicable Warranty Period set forth in Table I below, when properly installed, used and maintained under normal use and service conditions and in accordance with Trexˇs written instructions, Trex® product set forth in Table I below (the ˝Product˛) shall perform as follows:
Term of Limited Warranty: T he term of this L imited W arrant y for a P rod u ct ( the ˝W arrant y P eriod ˛) b e g in s on the date of ori g ina l p u rchase and sha ll b e e qu a l t o the n u m b er of y ears set forth ne x t to s u ch P rod u ct i n T a b l e I b e l ow.
Othe r Exclusions: This L imited Warrant y shall not cover an y condition attributable to: (1) improper installation o f the Product and/or f ailure to abide b y Trexˇs installation guidelines, including but not limited to improper gapping; (2) use o f the Product be y ond normal use or service conditions, or in an application not recommended b y Trexˇs guidelines and local building codes; (3) movement, distortion, collapse or settling o f the ground or the supporting structure on which the Product is installed; (4) an y act o f God (such as flooding, hurricane, earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmental condition (such as air pollution, mold, mildew, etc.), staining f rom f oreign substances other than f ood and beverages (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.); (5) improper handling, storage, abuse or neglect o f the Product b y Purchaser, the trans f eree or third parties; (6) an y f ading or staining not on the walking sur f ace o f the Product (i.e., the underside or the ends o f the Product); or (7) ordinar y wear and tear. Excluded P r oducts: This Warrant y shall not appl y to an y Trex products not listed in Table I, including, but not limited to, Trex Transcend® railing, Trex Enhance® railing, Trex Select® railing, Trex Signature® railing, Trex Decklighting products, TrexTrim" products, Trex® Outdoor L ighting products, Trex Hideawa y ® Fasteners, and Trex® Fencing, which are excluded f rom this L imited Warrant y . Each o f these products has a separate L imited Warrant y . PROCEDURE FOR MAKING A CLAIM UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY To make a claim under this L imited Warrant y , Purchaser must do the f ollowing: 1. I f the Purchaser is making a claim relating to the L imited Warrant y on stain resistance, Purchaser must do as f ollows: (a) Purchaser must tr y to clean the affected area of the deck b y using the cleaning procedures described above (and provided in more detail in the Care & Cleaning Guide f ound at www.trex.com) within one (1) week o f exposure o f the f ood or beverage to the Product or first appearance o f the mold and mildew. (b) I f the affected area remains reasonabl y unsatis f actor y a f ter Purchaser has tried these cleaning procedures, then Purchaser must have the affected area o f the deck pro f essionall y cleaned at Purchaserˇs expense. (c) I f the affected area remains reasonabl y unsatis f actor y a f ter the pro f essional cleaning, Purchaser ma y make a claim under this L imited Warrant y , provided that such claim is made within thirt y (30) da y s a f ter the pro f essional cleaning. 2. To make a claim under this L imited Warrant y , Purchaser, or the trans f eree, shall send to Trex, within the Warrant y Period re f erred to above, a written description and photographs o f the claimed de f ect, proo f o f purchase, and i f the claim relates to the L imited Warrant y on stain resistance, proo f o f compliance with paragraph 1 above, to the f ollowing address:
the Ownerˇs Trex® decking, railing, fascia, cladding and/or fasteners (the ˝Products˛) under either the Trex Decking, Fascia and Cladding Limited Warranty, the Trex Aluminum and Composite Railing and Ancillary Products Limited Warranty, the Trex Steel Railing Limited Warranty, or the Trex Fasteners Limited Warranty (the ˝Warranties˛), and provided that a TrexPro® contractor installed the Products on an individual residence (a "residential installation"), and properly registered the Warranties, Trex will pay for all reasonable labor expenses in replacing the defective Products. The term of this Warranty, beginning on the date of final installation of the Products, shall be as follows: with occurs warranty of breach if that (˝Owner˛), warranty
To make a claim under this labor warranty, Owner shall send to Trex, within the warranty period referred to above, a description of the claimed defect and proof of purchase to the following address:

Upon confirmation by an authorized Trex representative of a defect covered by one of the Warranties, the prior registration of Ownerˇs Warranties and compliance with all other terms of this labor warranty, Trex shall (1) replace the Product under the terms of the applicable Warranty, and (2) arrange for a local TrexPro contractor (approved by Owner) to replace, remove and dispose of the defective Product, at Trexˇs cost. This labor warranty may not be altered or amended except in a written instrument signed by Trex and Owner.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER THE LAW, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL TREX BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, RELIANCE, STATUTORY, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARE SOUGHT IN TORT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY) OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR SUCH DAMAGES COULD HAVE BEEN REASONABLY FORESEEN, IN CONNECTION WITH, ARISING OUT OF, OR AS A RESULT OF, THE SALE, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION, USE OR LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCTS INSTALLED HEREUNDER, OR FOR ANY LIABILITY OF OWNER TO ANY THIRD PARTY WITH RESPECT THERETO AND TREX'S LIABILITY FOR NON-PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS WITH RESPECT TO DEFECTIVE PRODUCT SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH PRODUCT UNDER THE APPLICABLE REGISTERED WARRANTY AND THE COST OF LABOR, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE IN THIS TREXPRO RESIDENTIAL LABOR LIMITED WARRANTY. A ny T re xP ro contractor who re p laces O wner ˇ s P roducts under this labor warranty is independently owned and operated and is neither a ffi liated with nor an agen t or representative of Trex. Trex makes no representations or warranties as to, and is not responsible for, the performance, acts or omissions of such contractor. I t is the ultimate responsibility of the O wner to approve such contractor prior to an y work commencing. S o m e S tates or Pro v inces do not allow the exclusion or li m itation of incidental o r consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply t o you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have othe r rights that vary from State to State or P rovince to P rovince. This warranty shall onl y be applicable and enforceable in the U nited States of America and C anada.

In order for railing to be covered under this labor warranty, and in order to qualify for the Trex decking AND Trex railing extended coverage, the railing (rails, infills and hardware) must be totally comprised of Trex Signature®, Trex Signature® X-Series", Trex Transcend®, Trex Select® and/or Trex Enhance® railing materials. I n order for fasteners to b e co v ered under this la b or warrant y , and in orde r to qualify for the Trex decking, railing AND fasteners extended coverage, the railing (rails, infills and hardware) must be totally comprised of Trex Signature®, Trex Signature® X-Series", Trex Transcend®, Trex Select® and/or Trex Enhance® railing materials and all applicable fasteners that Trex supplies must be installed and cannot be substituted with fasteners supplied by others. I n order for fascia to b e co v ered under this la b or warrant y , either Trex decking o r Trex railing (or both) need to be installed.

A "residential installation" is an installation of the product on an individual residence. A commercial installation is any installation of the Product other than on an individual residence.
