Keith Industrial Estate Subdivision – Stage 2A Construction activities at the Keith Industrial Estate Subdivision – Stage 2A continued to progress during February. Kerb and gutter installation and construction of the road pavement has been completed. The roadway is programmed to be sealed in March followed by electrical infrastructure installation. Council has been awarded a grant of up to $800,000 towards the project from the Government of South Australia through the Thriving Regions Fund – Enabling Infrastructure Program.
Bordertown - Stage 1 update Construction is now underway on Stage 1 of the Ramsay Terrace Land Development. The contractor has begun major earthworks, including levelling the allotments and excavating the stormwater basin. Installation of the community waste water system (CWMS) is underway which will be followed by the installation of stormwater infrastructure. There are 15 blocks in Stage 1, 5 of which the State Government will purchase for the construction of key-worker housing through the Office for Regional Housing. The remaining blocks will soon be on the market!
Big Bag Recovery What are Big Bags?
3 The Council has partnered with Big Bag Recovery, the only Australian Government–accredited product stewardship scheme for plastic bags designed to hold more than 15 kg or 15 litres of contents (including sacks and bulk bags). The program accepts recyclable bags made from: Woven polypropylene (wPP) Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) Council will also accept non-participating bags at a cost of $5 per bag.
