Participating Locations Deadwood • Times Vary The 12th Annual Forks, Corks & Kegs will be hosted in the historic town of Deadwood. Event passes not only include food and wine tastings, such as the Wine Around , Appetizer Crawl , Deadwood Dine Around , and the Grand Tasting , but also an event guide, trolley rides on Friday and Saturday, an open container cup, and a commemorative glass. 1 APRIL 3-5 Freeman Academy camps • Freeman Times Vary The annual Freeman Schmeckfest , meaning “festival of tasting” in German, will offer a celebration of arts, food, community, and friendship. A musical drama production of Jane Eyre will be performed each night. The culinary favorites from the Mennonites—the Low-German , the Swiss , and the Hutterish —are served together each night. Washington Pavilion • Sioux Falls Times vary The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra presents opera performed in three acts with music by Douglas Moore , libretto by Arnold Sundgaard , and is based on the novel by Ole Edvart Rølvaag . The first performance was on March 28, 1951 by the Columbia Opera Workshop . The Pulitzer Prize Committee described the work to be refreshing, distinct, and beautiful. Tickets are available now.
