with a total of $21,000 to well deserv- ing undergraduates of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Foundation board members either attended or represented this board at each Province Council meeting delivering these gifts, and also to tell our story of our journey and impact in serv- ing our members. We also supported our Undergraduates through the Undergraduate Leadership Institute Program again with gifts and sponsorships of over $46,000 from the Foundation and corporate sponsors. We continue to find ways to be a conduit for corporate partners to support this group that represents the best of the best of young brothers from across the country through this program. When summer rolled around in 2019, this Foundation stepped up our sup- port again for the Kappa Kamp at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX. This program which has been in existence for over 22 years is a great 2-week program for young kids, and exposes them to
team work, business processes, entrepre- neurial thinking, and learning etiquette as a young man. Our support was over $20,000 for this program and we must do more going forward! The Senior Kappa Endowment Program now stands at $1.3 Million plus dollars. In 2019, 25 chapters were approved and funded with over $23,000 being awarded in year two of this program through the Foundation. The Foundation also launched our Com- munity Grant Program in 2019 led by Director Janice Hall Dean. During this pilot program four chapters were awarded a total of $6,000 for various causes in the communities they serve. We expect to fully launch this program in 2020 and hope to give more awards based on our learnings form the pilot program. Several additional gifts to emerging part- ners were also given from the Foundation as well. They were based on their impact on our young people across the country –
• The Alexander Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter for their Kappa Kamp ($3,000) • The Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color ($5,000) • The African American Community Service Agency Leadership Acad- emy ($1,000) At our 84 th Grand Chapter Meeting in Philadelphia this past summer, this Foundation in support of the Fraternity, made a mark that was very historic since the founding of this organization. We partnered with the Northeastern Province and the Grand Chapter by donating a combined $75,000 to the Parkway Center City Middle College High School. The Celebration of Achievement Lun- cheon this summer led by its Chairman and Director Donald Bland was a tre- mendous success! Over 700 plus folks were in attendance which was a record for this event! We presented 31 academ- ic scholarships totaling over $52,000!
