SPOTLIGHT ON: COMMANDER WARREN D. JUDGE

C DR Warren Judge (Epsilon Alpha 1996) is the United State Coast Guard’s rep- resentative on the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Military and Veterans Affairs Commission (MVAC). A native of Tampa, FL and a Captain (O-6) select, CDR Judge, is a Life Member and 1996 Epsilon Alpha initi- ate at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), where in 1997 he received his degree in Computer Science. Starting from E-1, CDR Judge has 33 years of distinguished service, with occupational specialty in the area of C5IT (Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Cyber). Cur- rently the Executive Officer (XO) of the Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communications and Engineering Center (C3CEN) unit in Portsmouth, VA; CDR Judge was stationed at the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) from May 2009 to August 2012 as Presidential Communications and Response Officer. CDR Judge was the 2017 Coast Guard’s recipient of the Blacks In Government Meritorious Service Award, named one of the Modern Day Technol- ogy Leaders at the 2013 and 2014 Black Engineer of the Year award celebration, and received the 2013 ECSU’s Chan- cellor’s Legacy Leadership award for the military. In 2016, CDR Judge attended the Harvard University, John F. Ken- nedy School of Government, Executive Education for Cybersecurity, earned his first Master of Science degree in Com- puter Science from Howard University in 2004; and his second Master of Sci- ence degree in System Quality Manage- ment (Six Sigma emphasis) from the National Graduate School in 2007. CDR Judge is community focused and take mentoring seriously; while stationed in Elizabeth City, NC from 2016-2019, he was on the Founda-

tion Board for ECSU, mentor 25 young men in the Step Up Academy and was awarded a ‘Key To The City’ by the Mayor. Here’s to Brother Judge!
