“Growing up in a traditional Hispanic household, my father worked in construction from the moment he arrived in the U.S. He would often talk about being part of some of Dallas’s most prominent construction projects, proudly pointing out the buildings he helped create. He felt blessed and proud to contribute to something bigger than himself.
