As I sit down to write this, one thing keeps com- ing to mind—wow… and thank you. We truly ap- preciate our growing customer base, as well as those who simply take the time to follow along and see what we’re building with our program. What a time to be in the cattle business. It’s a roller coaster—highs and lows, droughts and big rains. It can feel like constant hurdles, but truthfully, this is a lifestyle we choose, not just a job. That’s certainly the case for us. The passion for quality cat- tle runs deep here at Trask Angus. A tremendous amount of thought goes into our program. Planning AI breedings for each individu- al animal is nearly a full-time job in itself, and it’s something Todd has taken seriously for nearly 40 years. Until this year, our cow herd has been built entirely from home-raised females. New this year, we’re excited to incorporate a flush we purchased out of Coleman Donna 0121 from Antczak Angus. We also had the opportunity to purchase pairs from Todd’s longtime friend and respected seed- stock producer, Randy Petersen. You’ll see a strong set of bulls in this sale backed by those cows—and many more to come in the future. At the end of the day, we stand by a simple principle: we won’t sell a bull we wouldn’t use our- selves.
