Winnebago eRV2

Shown at the Tampa Super RV Show, the Winnebago eRV2 is a new Class B based on the all-electric Ford Transit van. So, while the Ford chassis provides all-electric propulsion, Winnebago adds its own proprietary IonBlade house battery system for an all-electric experience. They say this system could give you up to 7 days of boondocking capability. I was at the show this January and had a chance to review and drive the eRV2. Let me first say that this is one of the most interesting RVs

I’ve driven—that (unfortunately) you can’t buy. Currently the eRV2 is being field tested only.

After showing the eRV last year, Winnebago has followed up with this new eRV2. This is now the most advanced all-electric, zero-emission RV anywhere. The point of having it at the show was to offer test drives and walk-throughs. The comments collected from consumers (and reviewers like me) are just part of the rigorous field testing that will impact the eRV2’s final design before hitting dealerships in the future.
