You won an Award in the category of Innovation in 2018. How did it feel to win? Jonathan Rodgers: Winning the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise [now King’s Awards] was a phenomenal achievement that showcased the dedication and effort our team had put into designing, developing, marketing and ultimately delivering a product that significantly improved the daily lives of countless individuals. This prestigious accolade not only recognised our accomplishments in the preceding years, but also validated the positive impact our innovative solution had on the community.

Can you tell us a little about your company’s background and the Award-winning product… JR: Kelvatek is a frontrunner in the electricity distribution sector, specialising in the design and provision of hardware, communications and data solutions to enhance electricity supplies across the United Kingdom and beyond. We are committed to investing in research, development, services and field support for all 14 OFGEM-licensed distributors in the UK. Our Award-winning product, the BIDOYNG (pronounced bee-doy-ing, inspired by the sound a spring makes!), is an innovative retrofit Low Voltage (LV) fuse developed by Kelvatek.
