AMBA & BGA EXCELLENCE AWARDS

T en of this year’s 12 winners of AMBA & BGA’s annual business education awards are schools within the BGA network, or graduates of institutions that now belong to its growing global movement. Three of the winners represent holders of dual accreditation from AMBA & BGA, while a further five hold BGA membership alongside their AMBA accreditation. There were also big wins for BGA member schools in the diversity and innovation categories. The full details, with comments from individual winners, are below.

BGA Student of the Year Jan Jasiński

BGA Student of the Year

WINNER: Jan Jasiński, Adam Smith Business School University of Glasgow, UK

A motivated, values-driven student, Jasiński mentored and coached 40 undergraduates to help them realise their potential. During his programme at the AMBA-accredited and BGA member school, he also co-authored an academic paper and won a sustainability competition. Adam Smith Business School dean Eleanor Shaw said Jasiński was a perfect example of someone who made the most of their business school experience, adding that “he has a genuine passion and commitment to ethical and responsible management and utilises his business education for social good to create impact”. MBA programmes director at Centrum PUCP Sandro Sánchez

BGA Business School Impact Award WINNER: Centrum PUCP, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú for Crecemos Juntos con Centrum (We Grow Together with Centrum) Microentrepreneurs and small business owners in the food industry, as well as their employees, are the beneficiaries of this initiative between dual‑accredited Centrum PUCP and consumer goods company Alicorp. By providing tailored knowledge and practical tools, the training programme has had a strong impact on the local economy and community, driving empowerment and sustainable growth.

WINNER: Kent Business School University of Kent, UK for Alumni Summer School

This annual MBA initiative at Kent Business School, an AMBA-accredited and BGA member institution, seeks to strengthen and engage its alumni community. Director of academic development David Williams referred to the summer school as evidence of the school’s commitment to “providing continuing development opportunities for mature learners.”
