NETWORK UPDATE
Since 1998, more than 9,000 students have graduated from IoBM and this number is set to grow quickly. There are now more than 5,500 students on the school’s campus and around 1,500 were awarded degrees at IoBM’s annual convocation held towards the end of 2023. Among these, approximately 450 graduated from CBM’s four-year BBA programme and more than 500 graduated from across its various MBA study formats and specialisations. There are 16 student societies at IoBM, each of which is headed by a faculty advisor and team of student officers. These include the IoBM Club of Entrepreneurs, Social Welfare and Trust and the Sustainable Living Society. A research-oriented institution, IoBM also launched Pakistan’s first business policy and research journal, Pakistan Business Review , in 1999.
What led you to join the BGA network and what has membership meant for your school? “Our decision to join the network stemmed from our resolute commitment to deliver high-quality business education and our objective to align our degree programmes with global benchmarks of excellence, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful in the years to come. “IoBM’s mission and vision associates itself with BGA’s emphasis on prevalent management practices, unceasing innovation and transformative learning experiences. This will facilitate our ability to shape future leaders who can embrace challenges and actively work in an ever-expanding global economy.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point to other BGA network members? “IoBM’s commitment to experiential learning and innovative classroom initiatives that prioritise learning by doing has become a cornerstone of its pedagogy. Our faculty members foster an environment where students actively engage with real-world challenges, industry projects and case study-based learning. “What truly sets IoBM apart is its strong emphasis on bridging academia with industry.
