7.2 Integrating AI into Corporate Governance
Responsible AI is a core corporate governance obligation. Boards should ensure that AI governance responsibilities are core to the organisation’s strategy and governance agenda. AI-related governance responsibilities may span business functions, technology teams, risk management, legal and compliance functions, human resources and internal audit.
Boards should therefore ensure that governance structures support cross- functional coordination and accountability. Responsible AI governance should guide the overall Board Oversight Process , and be embedded into enterprise governance structures, risk management processes, and organisational accountability frameworks.
