Generosity is contagious:
When we receive acts of generosity we are inspired to pay it forward. Research found that practicing everyday prosociality, or generously and selflessly helping others, contagiously inspires kindness and happiness. Being prosocial also protects us against burnout and exhaustion, while lifting our empathy, creativity, happiness and our sense of human connection too. It makes us feel closer to others. And it ripples out beyond us. The more we are exposed to generosity, the happier we are, and the happier our families are too. Unsurprisingly, being on the receiving end of generosity is a guaranteed day brightener. paying it forward makes us happier.
