I joined Sofitel Melbourne on Collins in 1996 as a Hotel Trainee. I then worked as a Sofitel Academy Trainer before moving to the brand new Sofitel Mansion and Spa Hotel in Werribee Park, initially as a Senior Supervisor in Housekeeping, and then as Executive Housekeeper for seven years. In 2007 I moved back to Sofitel Melbourne on Collins as Executive Housekeeper but after five years I tried something different by working at the Langham. But I soon missed my home, and rejoined the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, where I’m the Executive Housekeeper. My "home away from home"!

My advice to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders wanting to build a career with Accor is to take every opportunity that you are offered, there is so much support and training! I am a proud Arrernte woman from Central Australia, Alice Springs currently living and working in Gimuy (Cairns). I started as a Guest Service Agent in 2019 working in several properties within Accor and was recently promoted to Conference and Events Coordinator at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort where I’m loving learning about Sales & Marketing.
