one FOR THE ROAD Grand Mercure Basildene Manor, Accor Vacation Club, WA We love creating a fond farewell that makes a peak Heartist moment for guests to always remember their stay. So when a couple stayed with us to celebrate the husband’s birthday as part of a road trip around the region, we sent them off with a pack of freshly baked scones and local jam for the next leg of their travels. They later sent us a thank you note about how delicious their scones, and their stay had been!

The Allen family joined us for a week as they reunited to celebrate Tom’s 21st birthday - he had been living and studying interstate for nearly four years. Right from their first welcome drink we got to know the names of the whole family and their favourite drinks - so whenever one of them appeared in the pool bar we could offer them a drink by name! And then when the week was over we gathered our whole team together to sing Isa Isa, our traditional Fijian farewell song, at the end of their last dinner with us. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
