I feel such a sense of service from the team. It’s like they’re saying ‘we're here and we want to make sure that you have the best experience possible’. It's such a welcome relief because there's so muctg on outside and around us at the moment. It's nice to just have that sense of peace and calm. I get a lot of that at the Club Lounges - there might be 30 or 40 people there, but there's this sense of serenity and care. Joanne ACCOR PLUS DIAMOND MEMBER Then when I went to the lounge, he came and apologised because he hadn’t given me my welcome card on arrival! I just felt so valued and special. Personal recognition is so important to me. The fact that someone had taken the time to do that, for me – it’s really lovely. That’s one of the reasons I love Accor so much – people here always take the time to learn my name. Imagine that! tI love being greeted by genuine smiles, and a can-do positive attitude. I know everyone’s so busy but being friendly and welcoming makes all the difference.

It’s all about the people. I’m regularly back again and again to the same hotel - so greeting me by name is the ultimate recognition. But going somewhere I haven’t been before, and they’ve looked at my profile beforehand, and they’re expecting me – that’s very special. That’s a wonderful thing. So to be greeted, for people to know I’m coming, for the preparation to have been done, to see the same faces again and again in the hotels I’m consistently in – this is what is important to me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that little bit of extra help. When someone is really present they notice what’s really going on. They notice if I’m on edge or if I’m anxious. They notice my body language. And just saying ‘Let me make your afternoon better, how can I help? or we have a spa here, can I book a massage in for you? or did you know we have a pool on site?”.
