THE

Theatre of dreams! Watching and performing

FESTIVE FUN Over the last two weeks, the Year 1 and 2 children have been enjoying a visit to the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham to watch the wonderful Alice in Wonderland. The Christmas production follows the story of Alice, a young, curious girl who follows a white rabbit down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland. There, she encounters some of the strangest and most peculiar creatures, including the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter. There were songs - old and new, a brand-new script and a talented cast of 25 student performers from Birmingham Ormiston Academy. The songs were so good that if you listen carefully, you can hear Mrs Goldie singing the tunes as she wanders around the school. The children were great ambassadors for the school with their excellent behaviour and good manners. Itt was a real pleasure to take them to a live show after so much time away from the theatre. Nursery, Reception and year 5 have also enjoyed performing and, despite the lack of audience, had a great time! Our Christmas productions can be found on our video resource centre. https://abbey- federation.primarysite.media Thanks to Mrs . Johnson for the story. [Ed- Wishing all of our children and families a very Happy Christmas and may 2022 be good for us all.]
