Muddy feet! Race for life

CANCER RESEARCH 1

Mia-lily and Ava-Leigh took part in the Race for Life Muddy Puddy Race on Saturday to raise money for Cancer Research. The girls were inspired as they recently lost a family member to cancer and also have an Aunt who has beaten cancer. Both Mia-lily and Ava-Leigh have raised £500. Thanks to Mia & Ava’s mum for the story. CANCER RESEARCH 2 On Saturday, I completed the 5K muddy ‘Race For Life’ with Mrs. Sanderson and one of our friends. It was lots of fun but we did get VERY muddy on the way! We climbed over, under and through obstacles, finishing the race down a slippery, muddy slide. Then, a mischievous marshal poured mud over our heads while we were having a photo taken – yuk!! None of us had any experience of running before so we trained for 9 weeks to get fit. I think we all quite enjoy running now and will keep it up as regular exercise. We raised a whopping £845 + gift aid – that’s over £1000 for Cancer Research. It felt great to achieve a goal and our family and friends are very proud of us. Maybe you could think of a goal that will challenge you – the reading challenge over the Summer holidays would be a good one, plus you’ll earn a medal like me! Thanks to Mrs. Donnelly for the story! [Ed - Magnificent effort to everyone!]
