Avex Building, Tokyo, Japan Interior: Obayashi Corporation Photos: Shigehiko Kawai, Atelier G&B
A year prior to completion of the Avex Group’s new, over 100-meter-tall office tower, its usage plans were fully revised to reflect new styles of working that promote collaboration and innovativeness. Instead of traditional offices, the interior designers produced hot-desking workspaces, studios, rehearsal rooms and a diverse range of collaborative spaces spread over the stories for the company from the entertainment industry. The Planner studio made the culture perceptible for top management too.
An exceptionally modern-looking sculptural table was designed for the boardroom. The Sola conference chair with rocking technology (licensed by Davis Furniture, design: Justus Kolberg) guarantees dynamic agility and its slim, linear design is impressive.
