May 9: Greg Borrelli’s 36th Annual May Madness Car Show The 36th Annual May Madness Car Show & Parade returns to Downtown San Rafael, 4th Street in San Rafael, on May 9 from 12 to 6 p.m. This beloved community event is free to attend and invites guests to enjoy hundreds of classic and custom cars, live music, local food and beverages, and a lively parade at 5 p.m. Celebrating decades of tradition, May Madness offers a welcoming atmosphere for families, car enthusiasts and visitors alike. Apr 25: Spring Fling at Slide Ranch Families can celebrate spring at Slide Ranch, 2025 Shoreline Highway in Muir Beach, during the Spring Fling event on April 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets start at $40 per person (children under 3 free). The day includes goat milking, animal encounters, crafts, nature exploration, cooking demonstrations, live music and farm-fresh food. Set on a scenic coastal ranch, the event highlights sustainable agriculture and outdoor learning. April 25: Call of the Sea Hosts Tall Ship Celebration Set along the Sausalito waterfront,

Emerging young artists from across Marin County are featured in the “Rising Stars” Exhibit, opening April 15, at the Bartolini Gallery, 20 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael. The juried exhibition showcases a variety of artistic media created by talented high school students. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday– Friday, and the exhibit continues through May 29. the Call of the Sea Tall Ship Celebration brings maritime

education and family activities to the Bay Model Visitor Center, 2100 Bridgeway in Sausalito, on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. Visitors can tour the tall ship Matthew Turner, enjoy live music and demonstrations, and take part in hands-on learning activities. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and optional sailing experiences require advanced tickets.
