The Violet Connection 15

Hello spring! Hello ladies!

Today it’s sunny and 70 degrees, and the 2025 Violet Women’s Retreat at The Berlin Resort is still one week away. I’m praying and hopeful that by the time you read this, the Lord will have moved in a mighty way in the hearts and lives of the 62 women attending the retreat. I’m also praying and hopeful that you will join us for some or all of the many other opportunities we have coming up throughout 2025 to gather together in His name! I’m also hoping it’s sunny and 70 degrees when you read this! This year, we are anchoring ourselves to these words in scripture: “No, dear brothers and sisters, not that I have achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:13-14

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in the works for this year:

We are excited about getting to know the ladies in the Violet Youth Ministry a lot better; they are the next generation! We have fun ideas and events planned to encourage them, love them, pray for them, and make meaningful and lasting connections! We have a fun luncheon planned on June 21st! Do you love to cook and/or craft? There will be opportunities to spend time together creating special dishes to share with our loved ones and hanging out together for a few crafting afternoons! We have a special night of cooking and crafting on September 21st! Are you ready to get out and start walking outdoors again? How does meeting together at our local metro parks for an afternoon walk sound? This is such an easy and great way to get to know each other better while we’re walking, talking, and praying through the spring, summer, and fall!

An Operation Christmas Child shoebox drive and packing party is being planned for November, and our annual Christmas Luncheon is in the books for December 14th!

We’re finalizing a calendar of events and plan to have that ready in the May Violet Connection.

I’m praying these upcoming opportunities to gather together will help us grow in our faith together and develop our spiritual gifts. As we apply God’s word to our lives in a practical way by serving together, praying, encouraging, and pressing on, we will experience that sweet transformation that comes when we’re making an impact for the Kingdom! If you have any interest in helping with cooking, crafts, organizing walks in the park, decorating, sending cards, and letters…we need you! Please feel free to call or text me anytime to get involved!
