A Note From Pastor Brian
I always say this, and it is true. I love to be part of a church that serves the community. Various ministries exemplify this mission, including the Stowe Center team and the H.O.P.E. Ministry Team.
The Stowe Mission operates as a vital extension of our local churches, having ministered on Parsons Avenue for many years. One of their key community services involves hosting luncheons for local residents. Our team from Violet proudly serves a hot lunch to these individuals on the second Friday of every other month. The meal we prepare consists of Hawaiian meatballs, mixed vegetables, and rice and w can’t forget the PUDDING. It takes a dedicated team to make this event successful. Recently, we provided 288 meals on our serving day. If you're interested in joining the prep or serving team, please reach out to us, and we’ll get you involved. The H.O.P.E. ministry began as a vision from one of our members, aimed at supplying food to students in local Pickerington schools who might lack access to meals over the weekends. For over 13 years, our church has been committed to this essential service for those in need. The team collaborates with school counselors, who inform us of the number of students requiring food bags. Currently, we are distributing an average of 176 bags of food for each weekend. Each bag includes two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinner meals, along with snacks. If you wish to support this ministry, feel free to join us on Friday mornings during the school year to help pack the bags, and then assist with delivering them to the schools.
