FRCF: GIRLS RUGBY SHINES AT NATIONAL T1 RUGBY FESTIVAL

The spirit of rugby was on full display at the recent National T1 Rugby Year 7 & Year 8 Girls Rugby Festival, where over 80 young players came together for a day of passion, teamwork, and exhilarating competition. Held in a fantastic atmosphere, the event showcased the dedication and determination of schools from across the region, including:

demonstrated the bright future of girls’ rugby and the impact of initiatives aimed at growing the game.

Amelia Summersgill-Smith, Programme Lead, expressed her delight at the success of the festival, saying: “It was an incredible day filled with passion, power, and teamwork. Seeing so many young players give their all on the field was truly inspiring. The commitment from the schools, the coaches, and the players was outstanding, and it’s fantastic to witness the growth of girls’ rugby at this level.” A huge congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication. With such a strong showing of talent and sportsmanship, the future of girls’ rugby is looking brighter than ever!
