Les Quennevais Sports Centre offers an extensive range of sports facilities for members and casual sports players. Accessible information includes 11 accessible parking bays, a low–level reception desk, lift access, changing facilities with full ceiling track hoist (bring your own sling), PoolPod access to the main pool and sloped access to the small pool, autism-friendly swimming sessions, evacuation chairs and a ski pad. They are assistance-dog friendly. Let someone else take the wheel and use Jersey’s network of public buses to navigate your way around the island. Jersey’s public transport network makes it easy to explore wherever you please. All their buses are fully accessible for wheelchair users and some mobility scooters. Visit the customer service desk at Liberation Station to check your scooter is suitable for travel. The buses have low floors, easy access ramps and special areas where wheelchairs can be safely secured. Located by the St. Helier harbour, the Maritime Museum is all about seafaring, navigation and the elements. You will also find the Occupation Tapestry Gallery, an award-winning Occupation Tapestry that was woven by islanders to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the liberation. There is full access with ramps, a lift to the second floor with braille control buttons, and two stair lifts to upper levels. Accessible toilet facilities, an audio guide and braille book are available for the Tapestry. A loop system is located in certain areas and information and display tables are at wheelchair level.
