World’ s Christian Fundamentals Association Arrangements are under way for the Annual Meeting of the World’s Christian Fundamentals Association, to be held in the Walnut Street Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa, from May S to 15. Speakers thus far engaged include Dan Gilbert, author of Crucifying Christ in Our Colleges, Gustaf F. Johnson, Pastor, Swedish Tabernacle, Minneapolis, Minn.; W . B. Riley, Pastor, First Baptist Church, and President, The Northwestern Bible and Missionary Train ing School, Minneapolis, Minn., and Paul W . Rood, President, The Bible Institute of Los Angeles. Inquiries concerning the conference plans may be addressed to the President of the Association, Paul W . Rood, 558 S. Hope St., Los Angeles, Calif. Bible conferences conducted by members of the World’s Christian Fundamentals Association are providing means for inter denominational fellowship and the strength ening of evangelical testimony in various localities. In August, Alvin O. Carlson, 1625 E. Sixth St., Superior, Wis., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Superior, held a Bible conference at the Slate River Bap tist Church and the First Presbyterian Church at Fort William, Ontario, Can. Large audiences were present throughout the entire conference, and great blessing resulted from the meetings. Several pastors from the Head of the Lakes in Canada were in attendance. Another conference will be held in this area at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in the early part of November. Mr. Carlson, W . F. McMillin, and W . B. Riley are announced as speak ers. In September, Mr. Carlson was sched uled to speak in the Central Bible Confer ence Conclave at St. Cloud, Minn. As Regional Director of the World’s Christian Fundamentals Association, Mr. Carlson is planning a Circuit Bible Conference Series beginning in the early part of November. A Bible conference was held September 7 and 8 in the First Baptist Church of Worthington, Minn., of which A. A. Swan son is pastor. The speakers were A. Con rad, W . B. Riley, and Mervin Rossell. The conference received an invitation to meet at Westbrook, Minn., in the Immanuel Baptist Church early in November. Iowa Christian Fundamentals Association A. C. Huston, 2737 Des Moines St., Des Moines, Iowa, sends the following notes concerning Christian work in Iowa: William Schobert has resigned the pas torate of the German Baptist Church near Victor, Iowa, to accept-a call to a Baptist church at Jeffers, Minn. Robert Well of Fairbury, 111., has ac cepted a call to the pastorate of the Burton Street Baptist Church, Waterloo, Iowa. Many fundamental Christians in Iowa have cause to rejoice in the work of the Holy Spirit manifested in a summer con ference for boys held August 20 to 28 near Scranton, Iowa, under the leadership of

R. T. and Mrs. Smith of the American Sunday-School Union. Helen Ara Wayne writes of the events at camp: “ At the end of the first class, a lad of thirteen came to one of the instructors asking how to be saved. Before night, nine had received the Savioúr. By the end of the conference, every unsaved boy had been led to Christ. The constant prayer of every saved boy was, ‘Please, Lord, don’t let a boy go home unsaved.’ ” Guy H. Fish, 2408 York St., Des Moines, Iowa, tells of blessing that many Iowa fundamentalists received through attending the Northwestern Bible Conference, which meets annually during the last two weeks of August, on the shores of Medicine Lake eight miles northwest of Minneapolis, Minn. The conference is sponsored by the Northwestern Bible and Missionary Train ing School of Minneapolis. Assembling on grounds owned by the Union City Mission of Minneapolis, the conference provides at low cost a strong and spiritual program. Using Correspondence Course David M. Dawson, a pastor in San Jose, Calif., has recently adopted the “Bible Beginners’ Correspondence Course,” issued by the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, for use in his radio Bible class each Sunday afternoon. Already he has enrolled forty- five members in the class!
