DELIVERY We offer free delivery on bulls in SC, NC, GA, and FL provided the buyer is able to make arrangements to receive bull when delivery is made to your area, usually within a few weeks of the sale. Due to fuel costs and time restraints, we must consolidate trips. If you are unable to receive bulls when delivery is scheduled to your area, you will need to make arrangements to pick up your bull at the farm. Commercial delivery is free anywhere in the continental U.S. with a $8,000 or more purchase and can be arranged by the Yons. If you pick up your bull at the farm, deduct $75 off the purchase price. Although we don’t offer free delivery on females, we will be glad to help make arrangements for delivery. Each animal will be at purchaser’s own risk as soon as sold. Bulls and females will be fed and cared for free of charge for 2 weeks following the sale and will be housed at a rate of $3.00 per day thereafter until you are ready to pick up your purchase. Insurance will be available for cattle on sale day. GUARANTEES All cattle sell satisfaction guaranteed. For one year following the date of sale, if a buyer is not satisfied for any legitimate reason, the buyer is entitled to a credit, refund or replacement, provided the animal has been properly cared for. - YON FAMILY FARMS -

Welcome to the 36 th Annual Spring Sale! Thanks for taking time to look at our offering. We hope you can be with us on sale day, and if not in person, check the sale out on DVAuction.com. Bulls will sell first and we will follow with a high quality offering of females, bred heifers and cows, as well as a group of fall cow/calf pairs. The offering incorporates donor cows that have been successfully flushed at YFF and a collection of young productive females. If you don’t know us, below are a few bullet points that will tell you about our program. *Since beginning in the cattle business in 1989 as first generation Angus breeders, our income has always been derived from the cattle business with Angus cattle being the bread and butter of our livelihood. *We are a family operation, with all three of our young adult children fully involved after graduating with agricultural degrees from our state land- grant university, Clemson. There are also twelve other fully committed team members who contribute their talents to the farm on a daily basis as well as student interns. * YFF is really a grass and forage farm and the cattle are our harvesters. * We believe good feet, sound udders, and acceptable dispositions are just as important as superior EPDs. *We don’t trim feet. The bottom end of the bull calf crop become steers here and no bulls are sold prior to auction day from within a contemporary group. They have not been picked over. * All animals in the sale have been genomic tested which improves the accuracy of genetic predictions and confirms parentage. Bulls are also freeze branded for easy identification. *Take note of the average EPDs of the bulls in this offering on page 6. The AVERAGE EPDs of our group ranks in the top 25% or better of all non-parent Angus bulls for WW, YW, HP, Angle, HS, MB, $M, $W, $G, $B, and $C. We are really pleased the bulls we sell offer a truly balanced EPD profile. 89% of our offering also meets the criteria used to target bulls who will sire calves likely to meet the CAB® brand. *Customer service is important to us and your satisfaction is guaranteed. While this is not a life insurance policy, we always try to live by the Golden Rule and will do our best to keep your business as a repeat customer. *Bull delivery is always free in FL, GA, the Carolinas, and anywhere in the continental US with a $8000 purchase. Unfortunately we cannot safely offer delivery on females/calves with a trailer full of bulls. We will be glad to help make arrangements for delivery. *You will find many of the cattle in the offering sired by “Yon” bulls, both AI and natural service. We believe it is important to use the bulls we produce to insure their calves can compete in groups of calves sired by well-respected AI bulls. Yon genetics are adaptable to many geographical areas and actually seem to thrive in the hot, humid conditions of the Southeast, including areas that rely on fescue. *If you can’t attend on sale day, you can bid via the Internet, telephone or with absentee bids. We will work with you however you wish to get you the cattle you need. Again, thanks for your interest in what we do and if we can be of any help to you, feel free to contact any of us. HOW TO READ & USE THE DATA... An Expected Progeny Difference (EPD) is a prediction of how future progeny of a sire or dam are expected to perform in various production and carcass traits which are measurable. EPDs are expressed in actual pounds, square inches, or centimeters (depending on the trait), plus or minus what you can expect in the weights or measurements of progeny sired by a particular animal as compared with another animal. The EPDs of the animals listed in this sale book can be compared to other animals of the same breed. EPDs are breed specific. Don’t compare EPDs between Angus, Ultrablack, SimAngus TM , and SimAngus HT . The CAB® icon will appear on the pedigree of those bulls that meet the criteria for targeting the Certified Angus Beef® Brand. 89% of this offering qualifies for CAB®Targeting the Brand !

PRODUCTION, MATERNAL & MANAGEMENT EPDS Calving Ease Direct (CED) - is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers. Birth Weight EPD (BW) - predicts the difference in average birth weight of a bull’s calves compared to calves of another bull. Reported in pounds. *Experience has shown that an Angus bull with a CED EPD of +8 or higher and a BW EPD of +1.5 or less can be used on first-calf heifers with a minimal number of calving problems. If you do not have heifers to breed and just need a bull for cows that have calved before, most Angus bulls are acceptable for use on mature cows from a birth weight standpoint. Weaning Weight EPD (WW) - is a prediction of a bull’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny. For example, Bull A has a Weaning Weight EPD of +80 pounds and Bull B has a Weaning Weight EPD of +60 pounds. At weaning, Bull A’s calves will average 20 pounds heavier. A higher number is desirable. Yearling Weight EPD (YW) - takes into account both pre-weaning and post weaning growth. Yearling weight is the most heritable of all growth traits. You can expect bulls with high Yearling EPDs to produce fast gaining calves. If Bull A has a Yearling EPD of +110 and Bull B has a Yearling EPD of +80, Bull A’s calves will average 30 pounds heavier than Bull B’s at one year of age. Residual Average Daily Gain EPD (RADG) - expressed in pounds per day, is a predictor of a sire’s genetic ability for post-weaning gain in future progeny compared to that of other sires, given a constant amount of feed consumed. Yearling Height (YH) - expressed in inches, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling height compared to that of other sires. Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC) - expressed in centimeters, is a predictor of the difference in transmitting ability for scrotal size compared to that of other sires. Heifer Pregnancy EPD (HP) - is a selection tool to increase the probability or chance of a sire’s daughters becoming pregnant as first-calf heifers during a normal breeding season. A high - er EPD is the more favorable direction and the EPD is reported in percentage units. Calving Ease Maternal (CEM) - is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf daughters. It predicts the average ease with which a sire’s daughters will calve as first-calf heifers when compared to daughters of other sires. Milk EPD - expressed in pounds of weaning weight that result from the amount of milk produced by daughters of a particular bull, as compared to the daughters of other bulls. If Bull A is +30 for Milk and Bull B is +20, bull A’s daughters’ calves will weigh 10 pounds heavier at weaning due to her superior milking ability. Teat Size EPD (Teat) - expressed in units of teat size score, with a higher EPD indicating a sire will produce daughters with smaller teat size compared to that of other sires’ daughters. Udder Suspension (UDDR) - expressed in units of udder suspension score, with a higher EPD indicating a sire will produce daughters with tighter udder suspension compared to that of other sires’ daughters. Functional Longevity (FL) - expressed in number of calves, is a predictor of the number of calves a sire’s daughters are predicted to produce by 6 years of age compared to that of other sires’ daughters. A higher EPD is more favorable direction indicating more calves produced on average.

Mature Weight (MW) - expressed in pounds, is a predictor of the difference in mature weight of daughters of a sire compared to the daughters of other sires. Foot Claw Set EPD (Claw) - expressed in units of claw-set score, with a lower EPD being more favorable indicating a sire will produce progeny with more ideal claw set. The ideal target for claw set being toes are symmetrical, evenly and appropriately spaced. Foot Angle EPD (Angle) - expressed in units of foot-angle score, with a lower EPD being more favorable indicating a sire will produce progeny with more ideal foot angle. The ideal targeting animals with a 45-degree angle at the pastern joint with appropriate length and heel depth. Docility (Doc) - is expressed as a difference in yearling cattle temperament, with a higher value indicating more favorable docility. It predicts the average difference of progeny from a sire in comparison with another sire’s calves. In herds where temperament problems are not an issue, this expected difference would not be realized. Pulmonary Arterial Pressure (PAP) - expressed in millimeters of Mercury (mmHg), with a lower EPD being more favorable indicating a sire should produce progeny with a lower PAP score to decrease the risk of progeny contracting a high altitude disease most commonly experienced at 5,500 ft or greater in elevation. Hair Shed EPD (HS) - a lower EPD is more favorable indicating a sire should produce progeny who shed their winter coat earlier in the spring. Selection for this trait should improve the genetic potential for a sire’s progeny to shed off earlier increasing the environmental adaptability of cattle living in heat stressed areas and producers grazing endophyte-infected (hot) fescue. CARCASS EPDS Carcass Weight EPD (CW) - expressed in pounds, is a predictor of the differences in hot carcass weight of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires. Marbling EPD (Marb) - predicts the difference in average USDA marbling score of a bull’s progeny compared to progeny of another bull at a similar end point. The higher the value, the higher the amount of intramuscular fat (taste fat) in the ribeye, which positively affects quality grade. Ribeye Area EPD (RE) - expressed in square inches, is a predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires. PERFORMANCE DATA ADJ 205 - Weaning weights adjusted to 205 days of age and for age of dam. Our calves are not creep fed and were weaned on forages with no grain. (Quality of recipient dams will affect weights of ET calves.) ADJ 365 - Weight, scrotal circumference adjusted to 365 days of age. %IMF - The amount of desirable fat or marbling in the ribeye muscle adjusted to 365 days of age. Available upon request. ADJ Ribeye - Measured in square inches and adjusted to 365 days of age. Most heritable of all carcass traits. Available upon request. PERCENTILE RANKINGS for EPDs and $Indexes allow you to see how the cattle in the sale offering stack up to any Angus (SimHybrid or Brangus Influenced ) bull/female within their respective breed, not just those in our sale group. Rankings are only comparable within the same breed.

American Angus Association $Value Indexes

Dollar value indexes, or $Values , are a tool used to select for several traits at once based on a specific breeding objective. An economic index approach takes into account genetic and economic values as well as the relationships between traits to select for profit.

Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) , an index expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from conception to weaning. $M is built off of a self-replacing herd model where commercial cattlemen replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% in subsequent generations. Remaining cull females and all male progeny are sold as feeder calves. Increased selection pressure on $M aims to decrease overall mature cow size and improve foot structure and fertility while maintaining weaning weights consistent with today’s production. Weaned Calf Value ($W) , an index expressed in dollars per head, provides the expected difference in future progeny preweaning performance from birth to weaning. $W assumes that producers retain 20% of their female progeny for replacements and sell the rest of their cull female and male progeny as feeder calves. Over time, increased selection pressure on $W will increase weaning and maternal milk traits while also continuing to increase mature cow size.

Combined Value ($C) , an index expressed in dollars per head, includes all traits that make up both $M and $B with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers retained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and eventually sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid. and carcass merit. $B represents the expected average differences in the progeny postweaning performance and carcass value compared to progeny of other sires. This index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a quality-based carcass grid. Feedlot Value ($F) , an index expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for post-weaning merit compared to progeny of other sires. The underlying objective assumes commercial producers will retain ownership of cattle through the feedlot phase and sell fed cattle on a carcass weight basis with no considerations of premiums or discounts for quality and yield grade. Grid Value ($G) , an index expressed in dollars per carcass, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for carcass grid merit, including quality and yield grade attributes, compared to progeny of other sires. Beef Value ($B) , an index expressed in dollars per carcass, facilitates simultaneous multi-trait genetic selection for feedlot

What do the LOGOS mean?

American Angus Progeny Equivalents

Trait

2025 PE

The cattle in this sale offering have all been DNA tested. Each lot will display a symbol for DNA testing on their pedigree. Those animals’ EPDs are GE-EPDs, meaning they have had a genomic test performed on a DNA sample from that animal, which provided additional information used in the calculation of their EPDs. American Angus Association Genomic Enhanced EPDs • There’s little room for error in the cattle business. Producers need the most advanced information to make smart selection decisions, and Angus Genetics Inc. (AGI) provides it through genomic-enhanced expected progeny differences (GE-EPDs). • GE-EPDs have become the industry standard for herd improvement, building on decades of science-backed genetic evaluation tools originated and maintained through the American Angus Association®, home to the largest and ever- growing single-breed beef cattle database. • EPDs that traditionally contained all pedigree, performance and progeny information now also include results from available genomic, or DNA, tests. Breeders who use genomic technology give buyers access to AGI-generated GE-EPDs that provide: • Increased predictability and decreased risk for young and unproven animals due to enhanced accuracy of EPDs • Better characterization of genetics for difficult-to-measure performance traits (such as carcass traits, maternal traits and feed efficiency) • The ability to make more rapid progress for traits that are important to you, due to: > more accurate selection >> easier identification of genetic outliers >>> the ability to propagate young animals with confidence earlier in their lives In fact, GE-EPDs on unproven animals have the same amount of accuracy as if they had recorded 9-35 calves, depending on the trait. That’s valuable insight, offered regularly through the breed’s weekly national cattle evaluation PEDIGREE + PERFORMANCE + PROGENY + GENOMIC TEST RESULT = GE-EPD * It is important to note that genomics do not completely describe the variation in the traits of interest. Actual measurements collected by Angus breeders, such as birth, weaning, and yearling weights, ultrasound scan data, etc., continue to be an important part in further development of improved genomic panels, not to mention an important component in EPD calculation. When making selection decisions for traits that have EPDs provided by the AAA, then the EPDs should be the selection tool of choice. The EPD and accuracy account for all sources of information available on the animal - pedigree, own record, weights/measures, and genomic results. Genomic test results include parentage testing, which helps pedigree accuracy.

Late summer they were started on a high roughage ration consisting largely of corn silage, wheat/oat/triticale/rye grass baleage, Bermuda hay, hominy, and corn gluten feed. How the bulls are handled... 1. Bulls were vaccinated at 3-4 months of age for BVD, BRSV, IBR, PI3, Pasturella, and Clostridial disease. At weaning, bulls were given a booster for the same. 2 . Bulls were not creep fed at any point and were weaned on forages with no grain. After a short adjust- ment period following weaning, they all began our on farm performance test. ET bulls are so noted in the sale book and were raised on recipient dams. 3. YFF has been Johne’s testing for over 24 years (JPL4). Bulls were tested negative for PI-BVD. 4. Bulls were scanned for ultrasound measurements by Andy Meadows, DVM, a B.I.F. and AAA Cup Cer- tified technician from Springwood Livestock Management Systems in Wytheville, VA. Bulls were de - wormed and received vaccines for BVD, BRSV, IBR, PI3, Pasturella, and Clostridials. They were also given an Endovac injection. 5. Bulls were given a complete breeding soundness exam by Dr. Jeff Nordin and Dr. Joel Riley, from Saluda, SC, in January or February 2026. Bulls were vaccinated for Leptospirosis, Vibriosis, and given an Endovac booster. A word about the Females... The females are straight from the heart of our herd. Many of the females in this offering, are the dams of top selling bulls in our sales. We want our customers to be successful and profitable with the females they purchase from us and believe these are the right kind of females to make this happen. Breeding Information We will continue to keep breeding details posted on our website. Delivery of Females We do not offer free delivery of females but will gladly assist with trucking arrangements.
