Welcome to the 36 th Annual Spring Sale! Thanks for taking time to look at our offering. We hope you can be with us on sale day, and if not in person, check the sale out on DVAuction.com. Bulls will sell first and we will follow with a high quality offering of females, bred heifers and cows, as well as a group of fall cow/calf pairs. The offering incorporates donor cows that have been successfully flushed at YFF and a collection of young productive females. If you don’t know us, below are a few bullet points that will tell you about our program. *Since beginning in the cattle business in 1989 as first generation Angus breeders, our income has always been derived from the cattle business with Angus cattle being the bread and butter of our livelihood. *We are a family operation, with all three of our young adult children fully involved after graduating with agricultural degrees from our state land- grant university, Clemson. There are also twelve other fully committed team members who contribute their talents to the farm on a daily basis as well as student interns. * YFF is really a grass and forage farm and the cattle are our harvesters. * We believe good feet, sound udders, and acceptable dispositions are just as important as superior EPDs. *We don’t trim feet. The bottom end of the bull calf crop become steers here and no bulls are sold prior to auction day from within a contemporary group. They have not been picked over. * All animals in the sale have been genomic tested which improves the accuracy of genetic predictions and confirms parentage. Bulls are also freeze branded for easy identification. *Take note of the average EPDs of the bulls in this offering on page 6. The AVERAGE EPDs of our group ranks in the top 25% or better of all non-parent Angus bulls for WW, YW, HP, Angle, HS, MB, $M, $W, $G, $B, and $C. We are really pleased the bulls we sell offer a truly balanced EPD profile. 89% of our offering also meets the criteria used to target bulls who will sire calves likely to meet the CAB® brand. *Customer service is important to us and your satisfaction is guaranteed. While this is not a life insurance policy, we always try to live by the Golden Rule and will do our best to keep your business as a repeat customer. *Bull delivery is always free in FL, GA, the Carolinas, and anywhere in the continental US with a $8000 purchase. Unfortunately we cannot safely offer delivery on females/calves with a trailer full of bulls. We will be glad to help make arrangements for delivery. *You will find many of the cattle in the offering sired by “Yon” bulls, both AI and natural service. We believe it is important to use the bulls we produce to insure their calves can compete in groups of calves sired by well-respected AI bulls. Yon genetics are adaptable to many geographical areas and actually seem to thrive in the hot, humid conditions of the Southeast, including areas that rely on fescue. *If you can’t attend on sale day, you can bid via the Internet, telephone or with absentee bids.
