Hey Alumni Family!

Joel ’21, ’22, and Jocelyn “Joci” (Lockwood ’22) Koehler were married in December 2023. They reside in Ohio, where Joci works as a nanny. James ’21, ’22, and Lauren (Annand ’21, ’22) Koch live in Florida, where they both work on staff at Word of Life. James is the Camp Crew Coordinator, and Lauren works in Guest Services. They both serve at Idlewild Church, with James involved in student worship and Lauren serving in kids' care. Joy Gentile ’22 lives in North Carolina, where she works as a host at a diner and helps in the Sunday school class for 4–5 year olds. Hunter Alcala ’23 lives in Pennsylvania and works as a semi-truck driver, exploring the country and sharing the love of Christ. Obadiah ’23 and Mackenna (Cartee ’23) Czelusniak live in Connecticut. Obadiah works in automotive repair, and Mackenna is seeking employment after recently moving from Vermont.

Kirsten (Roseman ’19) Parke is married to Eric ’17 , and they live in Pennsylvania, where Kirsten works in human resources. Kerrie Barone ’19 is married to Travis Brunell, and they are parents to Gideon (7 months). Kerrie is a photographer and videographer. 2020s Tony David Galusya ’20 and his wife, Anitah, are missionaries with Word of Life in Uganda. They have a two-year-old son: Jadon Amol. Tony considers his year at the Bible Institute to be the best year of his life. Erik Stiansen ’20 resides in Pennsylvania and is a manager at Chipotle, while pursuing his passion for music composition on the side. He actively participates in the music ministry in his church. Brad ’20, ’21, and Katie (Dominique ’21, ’22) Crowe live in Vermont, where Brad is the lead pastor at a church plant in Middlebury and also serves as a facilities manager for the Town Hall Theater. Katie works as a home health aide, providing care for the elderly community. Mikayla (Lasnick ’20, ’21) Sherk lives in Ohio with her husband, Nick. She works as a social worker in Dayton at the Area Agency on Aging, coordinating Medicaid services and care for the elderly. Mikayla also serves on the hospitality team in her church. Bryan ’21 and Mikeila (Silva ’21) Fernandes began dating in 2020 after meeting at WOLBI. They married in August 2024 and currently reside in New Jersey, where Bryan works as an aviation engineer. Bryan is also active in his church, serving as a deacon and youth leader.

He is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Religious Education (BRE) in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Biblical Counseling.
