As an alumnus of Word of Life Bible Institute, you’ve experienced the life-changing impact of a year or two immersed in God’s Word, surrounded by a Christ-centered community and equipped for ministry and life.
I realized I needed to fully commit my life to the Lord and take my faith more seriously. I returned the next summer as part of Camp Crew, which led me to choose WOLBI. God made it clear that this was the right next step for me. Though I was initially accepted into McGill's Occupa- tional Therapy program, I prayed and trusted God to open the door for WOLBI. Miraculously, my deferral request was granted, allowing me to attend the Bible Institute and keep my spot in the program for next year. I wanted to strengthen my faith before entering a secular envi- ronment. I believe WOLBI has prepared me exactly for this. I've learned so much about God's purpose for my life and how to live to please Him. I feel more equipped to face the challenges ahead, ready to live out my faith in a world that needs it."

How Alumni Inspired Grace’s Decision to Attend the Bible Institute “I grew up in a loving Christian home where both my parents knew Jesus. As a pastor's kid, I was involved in church activities like Awana, youth group, and Sunday school. My mom homeschooled me through ninth grade, shaping my early education at home. I came to know the Lord at age 4, after asking my dad how to get to heaven. He shared the gospel with me, and I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior. I grew up hearing about Word of Life because both my mom and grand- parents were Bible Institute students. My grandparents made a big life change to attend WOLBI, which had a lasting impact on our family's lives. I first attended The Island in 2023, and that experience deeply changed me.
