made it his home. As a member of the local Optimists, he brought together fundraising for the Komoka Community Centre and continued to serve as a member of the board for many years. He was the beloved fireworks supervisor at every Canada Day celebration in Del-Ko-Bridge bringing families together. He recently passed on the baton to the crew, always ensuring he would be there. Joe was also a board member of the Mallot Seniors apartment buildings in Komoka. Overall, he was a pillar in the growing community of Komoka for over 50 years. Joe will not be forgotten, as he will live on through us all. A celebration of life will be held on April 26, 2025, at the Komoka Community Centre (133 Queen St, Komoka) from 1 pm- 4 pm, and will be open for all family, friends, and neighbours. Our sincere condolences to his wife Delores and all of Joe’s family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing Joe.

Komoka Optimist, Joe Carroll – Gone but not forgotten

It is with very heavy hearts that the Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth shares the sad news of the passing of one of their long-time members, Optimist Joseph (Joe) Carroll. He was a sweet and kind man who did so much for our community over the years. “RIP Joe, you will be missed. Thank you for all you did to help our community grow and be a better place.” Joe became a part of the community in 1968, where he jumped right in and
