TIP 2. ROUNDED EDGE : Using a router, round off the top edge of the end cut, this will prevent a sharp edge at the butt joints.

TIP 4: PROPER BUTT-JOINT INSTALLATION: Decking

Make sure joists are level, clean-cut both ends of the Trex boards and use approved fasteners.

Option 1: Installing with Trex Hideaway Universal Clips 1. Attach a 10-12” blocking board to joist (cannot share a joist) 2. Four fasteners required at butt joint (two screws required for each joist in the field) Option 2: Installing with Hideaway Butt-Joint Clips

The Trex ADA-Compliant Handrail system is designed to seamlessly blend with most Trex railing options, offering an extra level of safety, strength and accessibility for any deck design. Currently does not work with Trex X-Series Railing.

Please allow lead-time on Special Order items.

NOTE: The maximum recommended span between supports is 6' (1.83 m) on center. Thus, placement of posts is critical when installation of railing is being considered. In addition, a wall mount MUST be used at each seam of rail-to-rail connections as close to center of wall mount as possible.
